I have had this album on CD for a very long time so thought it was about time I got it on vinyl especially as it is the 30th anniversary of this amazing album by one of Britain’s seminal band. The album is brilliant on vinyl I really enjoyed seeing all the photos on the inner sleeve

    I remember buying this 11 years ago, as it was 20 years anniversary, now 31 years since release and probably still one of the albums of the last 50 years. Fact. It comes in a nice large presentation box inside you get 4 cd's, 4 12" vinyl, and a lemon shaped USB stick. All these contain the entire back catalogue from the entire Silvertone archives. All presented in glorious gatefold with added art prints that were included with all the 12" presses at the time. All the vinyls are on really fat 180gsm vinyl too. Back in the day when I dj'ed Silvertone vinyls were always pressed good quality and loud, no loss of volume in sound compression unlike others at that time.

    In August 2009, marking the occasion of the 20th anniversary of the release of the legendary eponymous debut album by The Stone Roses, Sony Music release the definitive super deluxe limited edition collectors boxset. Originally released in May 1989, The Stone Roses is often cited as THE greatest album of all time. This release is homage to this landmark British rock album on which every track has become an iconic classic - "I Wanna be Adored", "She Bangs The Drums", "Made Of Stone", "I Am The Resurrection"… Original producer John Leckie has returned to the studio for the first time in 20 years with Ian Brown to produce a re-mastered version of the album for the very first time.

    great collectors addition.disc 1 sounds alot better than the original now that it has been re mastered. Disc 1 also has the full version of fools gold which isnt listed on the amazon song list.
    sound is not as good on disc 2 but youve got to remember they are only demo's. great to hear the songs tho in their demo stages.
    Its great that they have also added the dvd of the blackpool gig on the release. sound is good on this for a live dvd.
    the cds also come in a nice package with a great little book inside with some notes from band members.
    My only dissapointment is that my box came with 2 stickers on the front that cant be removed as it will destroy the cover.as this is a collectors edition it takes the look away of the artwork on the front. the stickers look like they are maybe customs info i.e i think the discs were for a foriegn release somewhere not uk!!!!

    Great price for quality Vinyl music from a Band I knew a little about from a documentary I saw here in the United States.

    I want to really experience London and the music and art scene as well as meet as many people as I can. I think people in England are simply nicest people I've ever been around. Gorgeous ladies with brilliant minds as well , and the guys are easy going and easy to share a pint with and I love hearing talk of life there , makes me wish I could live there ! It would be a dream come true. I'm a single Dad , 49 years old , soccer fan and Osborne being surname I'm sure my roots are there. I'll pray about it , save money and further education in hopes of landing possibly a position for a few years and work , travel and afford my daughter the chance to see the world and not just South Carolina. If it's God's plan , we will achieve our goal , prayer and hard work us the key.
