- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 December 2023Originally released in the mid-80's, this 20 track compilation surpasses later compilations in terms of music & sound quality.
Most notable stand-outs are the full-length version of "A Hard Rain's A-Gonna Fall" which has a very clean sound & "Over You" that sounds more dynamic than the version featured on the HDCD remastered release of "Flesh + Blood" ; that transfer sounds like it's been badly balanced for Radio broadcast !.
There are other great songs here as well &, on the whole, it's the best of a number of Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music greatest hits albums. Very highly recommended
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 8 January 2024Delivered in exact likely prime service. Bought as gift and plus of a worn out cd. Given the compilation n regards to the selection of tracks, elipses excels more than late recent albums. In terms of quality music it's above and beyond stands out just roxy music showing at there finest. Top draw songs
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 6 April 2024The Roxy greats - a must Vinyl for my collection

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 14 December 2014Bryan Ferry and Roxy Music introduce this package with 'Virginia Plain', a startlingly effective staccato intro featuring Andy Mackay's distinctive saxophone. Remembering the impact it had and its dramatic freshness, 1970 was suddenly hit by this distinctive band and their history began to grow into legendary status. The ' 20 Great Hits' are truly so and need no introduction. Everyone has their favourites. Put 'Love is the Drug' on audio and still watch the response. The charismatic singer is famed for his covers. Often a brave adventure. His take on Lennon's 'Jealous Guy' was bold and dangerous. The emotion of the original is taken head on by Bryan Ferry. The tribute is wonderful. These numbers are a present for my wife. We saw Roxy music with Andy Mackay and lead guitarist Paul Manzanara; a memorable show a few years ago on my wife's birthday. These are truly 'Great' and will be appreciated for many years including family.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 June 2023I first bought this in the 80s. Great artist and music. What more can I say
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 2 June 2023CLASSIC ALBUM. Great to have a brand new cd delivered
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 9 February 2014I bought this cd as a gift for my wife as she said she liked Bryan Ferry/Roxy Music when one of their songs played on the radio in the car,but hadn't got any of their albums.
So I looked at several of the best of CD's on the site and found this to be the most concise containing all the hits that you know. Some omitted one or two ,of which appeared on other compilations which again omitted others. But this has them all.
Also when playing this cd the tracks you didn't recognise by name you will remember when your hear them.
So if you like Roxy and Bryan but don't own any albums, this is the one for you.Highly recommended.

This is the one I keep coming back to. I have a copy at work so I'm never without. Inside are pictures of the cover art from the lps. I've been a fan from the get go when they put that rumoured to be transgender person on the cover(Amanda Lear). Then Bryan blew me away with It's My Party and did not change the words to convert the chromosones, if you know what I mean. The line up of songs is chronologically perfect. There's something here for everyone. Great sax on Smoke Gets in Your Eyes. 70's glam,Eno-tronics, Disco Bob Dylan's It's A Hard Rain A-Gonna Fall. Smooth early 80's dance and new wave, and the seductive Slave To Love(coolest song ever). Favorite cuts=all of them. They could have done better with the picture on the cover so I just cut out one from the Mojo Magazine from their tight pants and weird hair days and slipped it in the case. What an extraordinary place in time this represents. All styles served here,Louis said he'd be fair,laissez-faire Le Strand!
