Fit and finish of this product barely meets my low(er) expectations at the given price-point. I think I shall have to be very gentle with it at all times for it to last for the medium-long term. Especially if transporting it from place to place.
Assembly requires a 10mm spanner, 3mm hex Allen key wrench, and a good deal of patience. No tools are provided and there are no instructions. The locking screw at the top of the wooden centre piece was well countersunk and not visible from either side (3mm hex). Only after probing the fixing with different tools did I find out what was required. I have assembled countless things and never come across this before. Also I opted to add wood glue to the dowels as the legs are not well flush (so I won't be able to disassemble the base in future).
I only need this to photograph a few vintage pieces now and then. However if I wanted something more robust I would definitely look elsewhere.
