I used this a couple of times out hill walking and it did the job but was out by a bit when i compared it to my friends compass that were more expense saliva compass. the dial has all so started to come loose from the plate. so not very durable.

save your penny and buy a betetr one.

Almost identical to my military Silva {degrees not mils} and a third of the price..... but it's early days, and I do not expect it to last like my Silva did, but I can't find it - hence the purchase. Good enough for day to day map work and a cheap way into orientation, both the sport and the skill. This will only get occasional and not heavy use, otherwise I would have paid the extra and gone for the real thing, a Silva.
