This handle gave a new lease of life to my stainless steel spade, I wasn't sure whether to replace the rotten handle bit glad I did, but this was just the job at a good price, specifications pity they don't supply a new rivet with it but I secured it with two wood screws.

received the handle as described, long enough for my needs. there was a large chunk of wood missing from the end of the shaft. the wood is glazed with some varnish but the end where the chunk 7cm long was missing was not so it had been knocked off after it was made. yet the seller still dispatched it when an obvious part was damaged. it was not in the packaging. I did saw the end off and reshaped the end and it was just long enough still. the wood is hard enough when i cut it so it does feel strong, the handle grip is cheap plastic but feels okay. if it fails i can put my old handle on it. overall it seems okay but can't believe they sent it out with a large obvious chunk missing. I did use a flame to heat up my metal fork before I pushed the tapered end into it so it clamped the end better when it cooled. I used 6" nails cut off long as Rivets.
