Siempre he sido fan del sim racing, pero hasta ahora me había frenado el precio de los soportes de calidad. Muchos de los que veía en el mercado eran carísimos, así que decidí probar este Soporte Universal de Escritorio para el handbrake y el shifter de Moza, y la verdad, ¡ha sido una gran elección!

El montaje fue súper fácil. Aunque es un soporte universal, encaja perfectamente con mi escritorio y los controles de Moza. Las piezas para la palanca de cambios y el freno de mano son super robustas y me dan una estabilidad increíble, incluso cuando estoy corriendo en simuladores como iRacing o Assetto Corsa, que requieren mucha precisión. No se mueve ni un milímetro, lo que no había conseguido con otros soportes mucho más caros que había considerado antes.

Lo que me sorprendió de este soporte es que, a pesar de ser mucho más asequible que otros, no sacrifica calidad. El realismo que añade tener el handbrake y el shifter a mano es genial, me siento mucho más inmerso en la experiencia de conducción. I got this stand as a part of my flight simulator project. I was looking for just such a thing as this so that I could mount the sidestick and throttle quadrant of my Thrustmaster TCA Captain Pack X Airbus Edition.

Let's start with the clamp. This has a toggle lever almost like a vice grip which is adjusted so that it grips the desk firmly. The lever is adjustable up and down on the clamp if necessary.

There is also an adjustable support plate that will determine how high the controller will sit when in position. This mounts to the clamp with four hex flat head screws.

Fixed to the mounting slide is the bottom plate which is what the controller is mounted to. There are several holes drilled into the bottom plate so that a variety of controllers can be mounted. It is wide enough that some controllers may be able to be mounted simultaneously.

In the kit is a bag of nuts and bolts as well as three hex keys.

It took me a bit of fiddling to figure out how best to mount the sidestick and the throttle quadrant. I found that the sidestick was the more difficult of the two to find a good spot. I had to improvise because the sidestick is too big to fit if the bottom plate is mounted as per the instruction manual. More on that bit of documentation later. In fact, I had to invert the bottom plate AND rotate it 90 degrees before I could find a good location for the mounting screws. It will only fit either the idestick or the throttle quadrant at a time so I will definitely need a second one. That is a given, since the Airbus flight deck would have the sidestick on one side of the pilot and the throttle quadrant on the other. This is a universal mount so you will surely find a way to mount whatever controller you may have.

The whole setup feels very sturdy and I believe that the only issue that you may find is that your desk is not up to the task. If you have a sturdy desk this should be perfectly fine and seems like it can take quite the battering. Just don't get too crazy with it and it should last some time.

Any concerns? Not many. The finish is a textured matte black that will certainly see some paint giving way if the screws are done and undone frequently. The process of adjusting the different plates and screws almost needs three hands at times and I can't help but think that clamps would be better for quicker, more precise adjustments. The instruction manual was of very little use to me. There were no clear descriptions of the various nuts and bolts and what was supposed to go where. I had to figure it out on my own, even though there are some tiny diagrams that give a rough idea.

Verdict? I definitely recommend this! I think it is being sold for a fair price, and the quality is certainly top notch. I'm not a professional gamer and perhaps such a person would have more needs, but I believe this will exceed the requirements of 95% of users. Go get it!
