The Godox MS200V is a decent, inexpensive studio strobe that is ideal for small/home studios.
Godox make really nice gear, and this light is another well made bit of photography kit to improve your photography.
The build quality is good with all the parts feeling solid.
The controls on it are really easy to get to grips with and everything is really clear, so you know what settings you’re on at all times.
The LED Modelling Lamp can be adjusted from 5% to 100% Power Level which is good for adjusting where your lights going to hit etc.
It uses the wireless 2.4G wireless X system for flash triggering so you can use Godox triggers to control it. I’ve had no issues with it on the Xpro on Sony a7iii and connection was easy.
Standard Bowens Mount so can use all of the many accessories and modifiers lying around the studio which means you can get more creative outlets and really focus your lighting.
Good recycle speed, with the ability to be a slave unit which is handy in studio.
This is a nice bit of kit for a small studio or home shoots, being 200w it’s not going to give you much in a huge commercial studio but would still be great for a fill/hair light. If you're looking at your first studio strobe you'll be more than happy with this.
