It's very quick to lock into place. I used four big bolts to fix it to the table and it could hold wood under a decent amount of pressure. If I ever need multiple vices I'd get more of these. The combination of more of these should be enough for most projects.

This vice was purchased for light duty hobby work, and for this purpose it works very well. Would not recommend for heavy duty work, for which a much more expensive tool might be more appropriate. So far the vice has performed admirably, and the quick release mechanism is most useful. If you are intending to drill light weight materials, this is a good buy.

I bought this for my Dremel drill press however haven’t had the need to use it with this tool yet. It’s just been used to hold items on my workbench and act as a level and stable third hand.
