Saw a plasterer using one on a you tube clip , I had always used a mitre box before and as I was doing some refurbishment at home involving replacing some coving thought I would give it a try , and it worked great so easy to use and far more accurate than a mitre box definitely recommended.
Makes cutting coving easy and accurate. Seems expensive for a piece of metal but it works and makes life simple. very pleased i've bought this and being metal it will last forever
I brought this mitre to replace an old plastic one that I have had for years. Does the job very well and is very simple to use. Being made from steel it should outlast me no problem
Struggled with two tools before trying this which gave inaccurate cuts, struggling I turned to You Tube and saw this being used, the next day received it lunch time and the job was done soon after, quick and easy, if your coving honestly just get this, its cheap, made of metal so it will last, its so easy to use if you have no DIY experience you will still get great results.
Expected it to be ready to use right out of the box, sadly it wasn't. Didn't realise until after I'd cut the first 2 mitres and found they didn't meet at 90 degrees. Somehow, either through manufacturing or poor logistics handling it was out of "square". Managed to correct it and was then OK, although it meant that a piece of coving was wasted in the process. It's fairly easy to use. Mine came in a box which contained instructions for cutting both inside and outside mitres. Would have given a higher rating if it weren't for the issue. Overall would recommend but check before use..
Easy and effective to use. The packaging has user information on cutting near perfect angles, which is great for those who are not familiar with cutting coving mitres.
