Product Description

Created on board street food chef Dan Shearman’s ethical food truck in 2014 after he discovered the sweet and spicy condiment in a New York pizza joint. On returning to London, Dan created a UK version for his menu, using the highest quality, sustainably produced honey infused with fresh chillies.

I ordered this hot honey as I've have previously tried, and highly enjoyed another product from this brand, so I was very keen to try this variety too.
The honey arrives in a small bottle, but its quite a potent product, so you really only need a drizzle over whatever food you're adding it to. I innitially tried it drizzled over pizza, and as a pizza topping alone it's well worth trying, but ive also enjoyed it over pasta meals.
This is now my new favourite go to pizza flavouring, it does have a definite heat to it, but the sweetness tones that down, it's really a lovely combination that's well worth trying, I will be getting more in future, and I'm happy to recommend it.

Item received in good condition in a nice branded plastic squeeze bottle. I first encountered hot honey on holiday abroad where we found a place using it on pizza and on fries.
With this version I would say it tastes good however this is more sweet and less heat than what I had before however its a lovely balance of sweet heat and a worthy condiment to add to my food to spice it up a bit.
It pours nicely from the bottle and has a nice consistency to it. Depending on your heat tolerance this is spicy but it wont blow your head off at all, the honey helps to keep a balance on the spice.

If you haven't tried this before give it a go over your chips and pizza its way better than garlic dip.

I've been a fan of hot honey after trying a pizza with hot honey at a local pizza joint. Sadly that place has closed down so I can't ask them where they got theirs from (assuming that it wasn't made in-house). I've tried store bought, and none of them come close to that pizza place.

Vine offered up this Wilderbee hot honey, so, as you can imagine, I snapped it up.

It arrived intact, and I set about frying up some chicken wings to test it out that evening.

I got the wings nice and crispy, and just went for it, squeezed a load on, said a quiet prayer to the Hot Honey Gods, and took a bite. Now, whilst it wasn't quiet as good as that of the pizza shop, this is good, very good, almost a match, but with a slightly different profile.

It has a mild heat, it has sweetness, neither of which overpowered the wings, but complemented it very, very well. It's also nice on French Fries (in smaller dollops), but I've yet to try it on pizza, but I have not doubts that it would be awesome.

I love the taste; it’s sweet (obviously) and has a nice kick. It reminds me of sweet chilli sauce (but nicer). I’ve tried it with chips, onion rings, breaded garlic mushrooms, on sandwiches, and I also add it to my bolognese sauce (it seems to go with anything).��

This is a review of "Wilderbee Hot Honey from the WilderKitchen | Wildflower Honey infused with Scotch Bonnet Chillies | 260g"

This is smaller than I expected - there is nothing wrong with the description but for some reason I had expected the 'normal' Sriracha-sauce sized bottle from the supermarkets. Which makes the current asking price of £8.99 a bigger challenge in terms of value for money.

This is, as you would expect I suppose, primarily honey - the taste of the infused chilli peppers is not as pronounced as I expected, making the overall effect more one of honey-sweetness, rather than a hot sauce.

I got this and another variant - the Sriracha Hot Honey - at the same time. The latter is much nicer than. this one.

A little disappointing for me and not worth the price.
