I have a Gas Stove in the living room and while it was warm beside it the heat didn't travel around the room. Having seen on of these units in the background of a video I was watching, I tracked it down on غ. I was not expecting too much as it is not expensive, as it turns out it works really well, it circulates the air in the room so it doesn't get to stuffy and spreads the heat around. I still don't understand how the little motor is powered by the heat but I am happy that it does. I was so impressed with this that I bought one for a friend of mine who has a similar stove and had it sent to him, he is delighted also.
It is well made, makes no noise and just sits on top of the stove, no wires or batteries.
TIP
It needs to heat up before it works and takes a few minutes to start moving so don't panic when it doesn't start spinning immediately.
I give it a little spin after about 4 - 5 minutes and that gets it going, after that it runs as long as the fire is on.
