Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on غ. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.
Tried to contact seller but got stuck in the 'helper' system so hope this helps someone else. If you are struggling to get this to work check the back of the sensor's PCB. I received green breakout boards for the sensors rather than the red shown in the listing. These had a missing connection that should link the right hand resistor to the centre pin of the sensor. Look at picture on the listing where this connection is part of the PCB's traces. You need to solder a link between the back of the unconnected leg of the right hand resistor and the back of the centre pin of the sensor socket (or if you are using an Arduino you could alternatively set the pinMode to INPUT_PULLUP to use the built-in pullup resistor).
The sensor I was supplied also acts in the reverse to what would be expected by the description and listing. LASER/LIGHT detected - Output LOW No light detected - Output HIGH
