This double CD has 22 timeless tracks, beautifully enhanced by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, and in my opinion is great! If you’re a Rod Stewart fan, or just like him as an artist you won’t be disappointed.

    I got the single disc version as I didn't know that this double CD was also available. I enjoyed the single CD so much I ended up buying this 2 CD version, and I am so glad I did. This one has all the ones I was wondering why they didn't do...Killing of Georgie etc. This is an amazing set, and again, apart from the awful duet with Robbie Williams, every track on here is superb. The best thing about this double set is that the atrocious duet with Robbie Williams is track 1 on Disc 2 so super easy to skip. Highly recommend to all casual Rod fans [the hard core fans will already have this lol ]

    I think I'm at that age now where I relate to older songs more than that nonsense on radio 1. To be honest I've never really been a fan of Rod, always reminded me of old women in retirement homes, sitting there in a musty hue of body fluid and unwashed clothes reminiscing about the good old days. Nothing wrong with that, it's just what it reminds me of.

    One thing I do enjoy though is a good orchestra, there's just something about that sound. If, like me, you bought this owing to the fact you knew a couple of Rods songs but mainly for the orchestra sound, check out Elbows live album. Now that really is good. Sorry I digress. The songs that I do know on Rods album are well arranged, sound quality is nice and clear and it's one of those albums you can stick on and leave to play whilst you're doing something else. I wouldn't say it's up there with my favourite albums but it's definitely one for the collection, if nothing else you can stick it on when your nan comes round.
