We LOVE this device. When initially tested by placing the indoor and outdoor sensors next to each other, for a good two days they never differed by more than 0.3C. They also agreed with a mercury thermometer and the outside unit reflects the local weather reports from the Met Office and on windy.com.
If you are looking for clarity and simplicity, and just want to know the temperature before you venture out, this device is perfect. No gongs, whistles and additional displays to cloud the primary fact. I have used devices like this for over 20 years and can truly say this is the best ever.

It doesn't have a "barometer" reading with fancy clouds showing what I can already see out the window and was never that accurate in the first place. It DOES have a much clearer Max and Min reading, both for outside and inside. Initially its reading was several degrees out and I reset it twice at which point its reading gradually came down and settled, matching readings from local forecasts and a mercury thermometer outside. Had to reset it once (simple long press of a button) when it failed to show the temperature but it has been perfect since. Suspecting it might be sensitive to pouring rain I made a simple shelter/box using a couple of suitable plastic bottles. See Photos. Recommended

However, after about 2 months the unit stopped receiving signals from the sender unit and in spite of replacing batteries it failed to work. All I wanted was an easily readable indoor/outdoor temperature display with no other readings such as 'humidity' etc. This does have a small display at the bottom of the screen showing the maximum and minimum temperatures over the past 24 hours, but this is quite useful and doesn't detract from the clarity of the display..

Indoor is pretty accurate as I have another device to check against it. Looked for email to contact supplier to no avail. I don’t expect it to be as inaccurate as it is after 5 months use .

I bought this for my partner for Christmas as he's a gardener and needs to know what the outside temperature is, through the outside monitor, so he can protect plants and have an idea what work he can do depending on the weather.
