Having listened to LP since the Hybrid Theory days, I was thrilled to hear they were back after Chester’s tragic passing. Listening to each of 4 singles (Emptiness Machine, Heavy is the Crown, Over Each Other, Two Faced) before the album released, I knew the album was going to live up to the hype. The released songs really showcase the newer lineup but never take away from what was there before in their music. The songs each inhibit their own style and draw on all genres of LP and what make this band so great. While Chester can never be replaced, Emily more than takes up the co lead singer role while paying respect to Chester. Shinoda is superb as always along with rest of the band signature sounds (new drummer Colin fills in well for Rob).
I’ve listened many times all the way through the album with Cut the Bridge, Overflow, Stained particularly all favourites with pure rock and electronic experimental side of the band. Casualty and IGYEIH are the heavy songs which throw back to Chester’s irreplaceable vocals. Album closer Good Things Go is a great end. Highly recommend and welcome back to one of the best bands.

How customer reviews and ratings work
Customer Reviews, including Product Star Ratings, help customers to learn more about the product and decide whether it is the right product for them.
To calculate the overall star rating and percentage breakdown by star, we don’t use a simple average. Instead, our system considers things like how recent a review is and if the reviewer bought the item on غ. It also analyses reviews to verify trustworthiness.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 13 December 2024Arrived on time as expected. غ refunded me the difference between early preorder and release prices which was nice. Decent album by a decent band and arrived well sealed and packaged.

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 1 January 2025Took me a few listens to really “get it”. Plays it safe, necessarily so, while simultaneously modernising that original sound. The elephant in the room is very prominent, but it feels intentional. It also loops perfectly on itself, which I appreciate. Lyrically very smart, and far more mature than it sounds. The yin/yang of male/female works, which is obviously played with concerning the two variations of album art being pink and blue respectively, and I look forward to hearing where this dynamic goes. I can’t believe that a Linkin Park album is tied for my favourite album of 2024. Look after your inner child, folks.
Potentially life-changing if you have the correct, uh, “enhancements”. The cardboard sort. Speaking of cardboard, I hate these “cases”. I get the reasons for it, but it makes physical copies feel so disposable, especially on medium that’s so easily scratched. At least give me thicker cardboard like most vinyls have.

5.0 out of 5 stars Linkin Park is BACK!
This album is chock full of bangers. I think we all knew that they had a chance to return to greatness from the initial release of "The Emptiness Machine," followed by "Heavy is the Crown" and then finally "Over Each Other." Those three songs are phenomenal songs. However, I think my favorite from the album is between "Overflow" and "Stained," neither of which were released by themselves before the album released globally. The album is a complete package that I haven't stopped listening to since it released. Linkin Park is back. Emily Armstrong matches their old sound and can belt it out just like Chester Bennington did. Rejoice! The glory days of Hybrid Theory and Meteora have returned.
