I'm using this with a MiSTer Multisystem FPGA and a 1970s telly (burnt orange!) that only has RF input.
I tried several methods of converting to RF using the system's various outputs and different boxes:
HDMI>RF
SCART>RF
VGA>RF
and none worked. I then tried converting to composite first:
VGA>COMPOSITE --> COMPOSITE>RF
and what do you know, the picture quality for RF is fantastic, with the expected dot crawl that you should expect from composite.
I've only had it a few days, I expect it's cheaply made inside, judging by the price and external built quality, but I'm sticking with it as the solution, and if it breaks I'll buy another one and hope it lasts longer.
