Seems to work well and the dosing system means it's easy to use the right amount for a bird bath. Not effective below a certain temperature but then it does clearly state that, so won't prevent freezing bird baths all the time, but does seem to help. Have not noticed the birds using the water any less so they don't seem to mind/notice any taste.
