    Seemed great at first, but at 'just' over a year, had to call out Green Flag (who were excellent!) and had to be replaced (see picture). 1 year and 4 days... surely it should last longer than that.I tried to find a way to check warranty and talk to Bosch, but the support link doesn't work and I can't find this info anywhere.Shame... for a company that is normally associated with quality (referring to Bosch, not ÍøÆغÚÁÏ).Update... ÍøÆغÚÁÏ usual excellent customer service issued a full refund. No buttons to click to go this route, but once I worked out to use the online chat, itworked perfectly. Go ÍøÆغÚÁÏ!

      The alternator on my Merc failed and took the battery with it. The old battery was obviously a cheapo, and after some research I chose this replacement because of the cold cranking power, which was twice the rating of the duff battery and the extra amps were noticeable as they turned the engine over much faster. If you have air con, lights, heated seats, stereo etc turned on at engine start, the battery has to be able to give the systems enough power. As a bonus, a problem with the electronic boot release has also disappeared since fitting the Bosch.
      You can get cheaper alternatives with less power, but the high output of the Bosch swung it for me. I've always been impressed with Bosch quality and this one didn't disappoint. Five stars to EuroCarParts too. The packaging was very secure, the battery in a foam cradle inside a box. Oh yeah! Halfords wanted £116 for it!

      Should I buy and get it fitted from a dealer, or buy and fit it myself?
      Well, I deliberated on this new battery from ÍøÆغÚÁÏ for 6 months or so following BMW advising me that my rear demister gave up the ghost because my BMW Battery was no longer up to the job and that the computer shuts down some operations to give power to starting. That along with the fact that each time I searched, ÍøÆغÚÁÏ flashed up a warning to advise me "This battery does not fit your 3.25i". As a result, I was constantly measuring the battery in the car to ensure what I thought was the size, and searching the net for any information I could glean, whilst also watching videos of how to take out the old Battery and how to fit the new one, along with all of the other attachments with wiring and a drain pipe. Even though this Battery was available for a lower price elsewhere and I seen ÍøÆغÚÁÏ selling it lower too, I thought that with all my uncertainty I would press the button which I did.

      4 days later my new battery arrived via EuroCarparts.. Brilliant service, and extremely well packaged, That in itself gave me a feeling of assurance.
      To help me take out the old one and fit the new one I watched the online video, pausing it at every stage. Once out I put it next to my old BMW Battery and it was exactly the same size, great I thought, another tick in the box. Installing it was just as easy using the online video.

      After resetting the date and time, and the radio stations (coz some were missing but which have since returned after driving through the appropriate region) I was ready to go. This seemed far easier than some of the reviews had lead me to believe.

      Well, what can I say, my car started almost before I had pushed the button in fully. That's FANTASTIC I thought, 'BEAMING' ALL OVER MY FACE.. and a month later it still turns and starts the car extremely fast, Oh. and the rear Demister is working just fine. WHAT MORE COULD A MAN WANT! WELL HAPPY AND SAVED A MINT!

      Battery came well packaged vacuum bagged inside a fully lined cardboard box. Bleed plugs to be removed before use and off you go. Can’t fault the battery at the price paid but have had a few S5’s before none of which have lasted 5 years but I put that down to misuse and completely draining the or lack of use. Warranty replacement was easy the first time but a nightmare with the blue & yellow automotive store people.
      Curiously ÍøÆغÚÁÏ claimed it was sold & delivered by them but turns out it was delivered direct from a company called Tayna Ltd and shipped via VOC (vendor own courier) who turned out to be Hermes, so forget any logical tracking info. Arrived 3 days after order, not quite the Prime delivery I was expecting.
      If you can find one from ECP or GSF at a comparable price go for it, otherwise buy one from ÍøÆغÚÁÏ and cross your fingers Bosch will honour the warranty via their online registration process

      Won’t hold a charge anymore, alternator checked and working ok, but the Bosch battery no longer holds a decent charge. Bosch offer a 5 year warranty but neither Bosch or ÍøÆغÚÁÏ care! Both are blaming the other to uphold the warranty but neither stand by it! Such a shame as I’ve always used Bosch batteries but I won’t be anymore, I will just got to euro car parts from now on and buy something else.

      Nach etwas über einem Jahr gingen bei der schönen Bosch plötzlich die Lichter aus. Überaus ärgerlich, da ich mich außerhalb der EU befand! Und da wird's dann schwer mit Pannenhilfe und ADAC.

      Wieder daheim, gingen der aufgeladenen Batterie schon am nächsten Tag wieder die Lichter aus....
      Tja!
