Compact little gem that could be improved even more

Unpacking the fryer on delivery I was concerned that it was too small, however I proceeded to use it that very evening to see what £26 of fryer delivers.
Switched it on and it took about 5 min to reach 170deg c and about 7min to reach 190 deg c. Now I purchased a 3 litre bottle of Sainsburys cooking oil at £5.69 hence £2.84 to fill the fryer to the max line.
Initially I fried some frozen chips which indicated on the packaging 3 mins required, not the case at all as it took 10 mins to cook a level filled basket to golden brown crispness. that said though it takes the same amount of time to do home cooked chips(same thickness), It says to set the temp to 170 deg c with the little chip basket diagram on the front but results are only achieved on full power.
I have continued to use the fryer and it gets you by and will feed two people with ease without overflowing the oil level. It does the job and is easy to store and economical to run, however if it went to 220deg it would be perfect.
Yes it’s worth buying but you will have to improvise and learn how to get the best out of it through trail and error.
