Open Barrel Connector & Deutsch DT Size 16 Stamped Contact Crimper

Using the proper crimp tool for your type of contact ensures the highest performance. Stamped & formed contacts are designed for crimp installation, requiring no solder. They are more cost effective than solid barrel but do not sacrifice reliability of electrical circuits.

IWC-1424A open barrel crimp tool is designed to crimp non-insulated, open barrel terminals, also known as OEM terminals. It has five crimp stations that roll the open barrel terminal tabs over the wire and insulation, crimping them to the terminal.

  • Crimps a wide variety of open barrel contacts in medium size wire ranges.
  • Crimps conductor and insulation portion of contacts in separate cavities. Tool must be closed twice to complete termination.
  • Crimps 24-12 gauge OEM type (open barrel) automotive terminals
  • Five crimping stages
  • "F" crimping nests make rollover crimps on both stranding (electrical crimp) and insulation (strain relief)
