I was reluctant to pull the trigger on these due to cost but I'm glad I did. They got the wiper arms off my Land Rover Discovery 4 with no issues at all.

While they are probably one of the more expensive set of wiper arm pullers on the market - incidentally they look identical to the Laser ones you can get on Halfords for £70!! - they work a treat. Sturdy construction and easy to use, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend these pullers to anyone looking for something a bit more heavy duty.

In conclusion, yes they're expensive but they work and quite often, it would seem, where lesser wiper arm pullers have failed. I guess you get what you pay for and you'll always have them in the toolbox for a rainy day.

My Saab 9-5's wipers had never been pulled in +18 years to my knowledge. They were extremely hard to budge and gave the impression of being almost welded. This worked a treat, albeit a little tight on the driver's side due to the bonnet. Other pullers I tried were simply not up to the job and some actually fell apart. This is a design they got just about right in my opinion. The top tighteners are a little fiddly and its legs can be a little long, but otherwise works great. An optional product would/should have slightly shorter 'legs'. Given how well this works it leads me to wonder how other manufacturers have got it so wrong.

The car was a 15yr old Ford Focus. I first repeatedly applied "WD-40 Specialist Fast Release Penetrant", lightly knocked the wiper arm joint, rocked the arm back & forth, and waited 1+hr.
This did not work, so I purchased the low cost tool that has the large aluminium inverted conical knurled screw at the top. This also failed, merely distorting as the central screw was hand tightened until the tool slipped off the wiper arm. The central column ended up damaged at a non-perpendicular angle and the feet bent out of shape. It was also next to impossible to keep the tool parallel to the wiper arm bolt. This has been returned.
I then tried this FIT tool (using the narrow feet) and with about one turn after initial tightening the wiper arms popped "free" (no longer seized, however more turns are required to fully loosen them). It is much heavier and more strongly built.
The high leverage socket wrench hex head (13mm) appears to be a key feature for a tough job like this one. The thin cross bar of the previous tool, or the knob of some other cheaper tools would only be suited to relatively light applications.
Note : the ball point M5 (~10mm of thread) wing nuts can get in the way of setting the arms very close to the central column, and this closeness is important in order to stop slippage. I was successful by first setting the arms wide, tightening the wing nuts, then backing off a small fraction of a turn, setting the arms close in, then re-tightening the wing nuts. M5 x 16mm ball point hex socket grubs screws are also readily available at very low cost as an alternative.

I used this in an attempt to remove the wiper arm from the rear window of a VW Polo.
I researched pullers extensively before deciding this one might do, and sure enough it was an OK choice. A main thing with many pullers is ensuring that the legs can go around, and actually stay in place, on the item being pulled - it this case, could and would the legs grip the wiper arm without coming off in the pulling process. Well yes, with this one.
That said, its not the easiest to use with all sorts of moving parts - three hands would be good!
Another thing - when pulling smaller objects, if the legs have to be close together then the wing nuts can't be turned (tightened) because they fowl on other parts of the puller. Can't tighten wing nut = can't do the job. I had to buy some allen keyed pointed bolts to replace the wing nuts before I could use it.
Next - be aware - once you've got the puller on the job, and start tightening (pulling) you can exert considerable force with this tool. In my job, this was too much and ultimately the puller couldn't be used; specifically what happened is that the wiper rotor onto which the wiper arm that I was attempting to remove was fixed, is itself the water jet of the rear washer, and as such is hollow and has a hole in it. Tightening this puller resulted in me crushing the rotor and deforming it - I noticed this before doing insurmountable damage to the washer, but also before budging the wiper arm (it was on that tight)
I suppose this is testament to how good a puller this could be though....
(BTW I ultimately had to cut the washer arm off and grind away the remainder left on the threaded rotor)

This gadget is heavily made and works beautifully. The only reservation I have is that the wing-head screws which hold the legs in place are quite wide and as a result I could not tighten them in the position I needed for my car. It didn't matter, though, because they were easy enough to hold in place by hand until loaded up, and if you really care about this it would be easy enough to replace them with socket head screws.

Removal of each of my immovably stuck wiper arms took about 15 seconds.

Bon bref, tout ça pour dire que c'est un achat à faire les yeux fermé, qui évite bien des dégâts si on ne l'utilise pas, comme un pare brise cassé par exemple.
