We bought this because we didn’t want a fixed gate damaging our walls and we have 5 dogs. It’s actually really good value for money and not bad quality. It fits around any door way but we like to use it at bottom of our stairs which you just pop in place. None of our dogs have barged it down and 2 are Rotties one being a large pup so it’s worked. We do have a proper stair gate over our best lounge which is great but if I purchased again I would get one of these. Ideal for doggies but not for children as they would just pull it over.

I’m really not sure how this product gets 5* reviews. We have a miniature dachshund cross with a jack russell, and regardless of the angle we stand this gate up at, within a few minutes he’s knocked it over so it lands on him. God knows what happens if you have a dog that’s in any way big, it wouldn’t last 5 seconds. It might be useful if you have a dog that doesn’t have any legs as he won’t be able to jump up against it, but if that was the case you probably wouldn’t need a gate in the first place. Complete waste of time, and obviously I’ll be returning the item.
