For the purpose of making Cat7 cables they are the correct connector and work for that purpose but the metal collar that folds around the cable is flimsy and poor at holding the cable considering the thickness of Cat7.

The connector in itself is good, I had no issues with making the cables due to the connector but did suffer some issues with my technique, so the connector is recommended if you plan on making your own Cat7 cables.

Trying to reinstall an RJ45 socket on a home network outlet that didn't have enough slack on the cable...Well, these were absolutely perfect. They allowed me to fix a plug on the remaining tiny bit of wire, so I could then use an extender block and a new bit of cable to get the extra slack I needed. Without these, I would have been forced to remove and reinstall a cable run through the wall, including removing the brick burster and silicone sealant.

For future buyer, just be aware, that boots/covers are not included with these R45's. When I was researching which to buy, I must have not progressed far enough through the video where is shows the boot/covering being fitted. I assumed it was not needed or supplied but not shown in photos. So my mistake really, but there are other cheaper more complete packs of RJ45's available.

These were used on CAT6a cable with the larger AWG23 conductors that normal RJ45's will not fit.

While the cable has worked as expected, I was doubtful of the quality of the plugs. Crimping was initially done with a new VCE Crimping tool which turned out to be faulty(not crimping all pins) where the end of the plug seemed to have been compressed also leaving a bit of a flap. Could be due to the faulty tool.

DO NOT RECOMMEND. I found it very hard to line up the cables before crimping. I followed their clear and easy-to-understand instructions to the letter, I even used their crimper. Even then, most of the time, the strands end up in the wrong hole. The first picture shows for pin 5, there is no strand as it went into pin 6's hole. The pin 6 strand went into pin 7's hole, and the two brown strands both went into pin 8's hole.

The second picture shows the pin blades didn't go into the brown strands, they just slid past the strand sleeves and didn't enter the cable metal.

I've had to try 3 or 4 times each termination before getting a good one.

Once done, it's lovely and works great.

They work. I put them on both ends of two 30 meter stiff CAT6A cables that run in walls and floors from switch to appliance (not yet got a patch panel or modules for the socket boxes). The switch end is up a stepladder on a high shelf. No problems installing - but I did watch a few videos lots of times and practiced on one plug. all connections good so far. But these are low end and may not survive rough handling and repeated insertion and removal from laptop. In these days of lockdown, many wifi devices in every home contending for signals, our cabled ethernet gives us the best signal in all our virtual meetings and parties
