I used it to make a deep hole in my raised garden bed and put my late cats ashes deep down on the bit of garden where he liked to lay and sun himself.

I have to admit, I was skeptical about this tool, but for the money I said go for it. I wanted to plant some shrubs to create a border to stop inconsiderate people from driving on my lawn. My first hole was a lot of hard work, and I thought how can I make this easier? So out came the garden hose and boom, soaking made a huge difference. Job done, shame the water couldn’t soften all the rocks! I am well pleased with this tool and can highly recommend it, especially for under £20! My elderly neighbour asked me how I created such tidy holes, and has given his seal of approval!

Unfortunately our soil is stoney/heavy clay soil, which meant that the auger did not provide the desired help when installing the fence posts. The product was advertised as suitable for heavy/difficult soil. Have kept it as too lazy to return it :)
The auger is easy to handle and put together.
Arrived well packaged.
Will be useful for gardening, when planting shrubs/trees in a pre-prepared bed.
It would be useful if these products were graded/tested for soil type to save customers wasting money.
