Notes for customers:
When the transmitter starts receiving the MSF signal, all buttons except DOWN and SNOOZE/LIGHT will not work during MSF receive execution. You can press the "DOWN" button to stop searching for the radio signal, and then all functions will work again. If external data is not displayed or is incorrect. Please press the "DOWN" button for 3 seconds to reset the data and press the TX button in the outer sensor to restore the connection.

There are two signal types in Europe.
The MSF signal is used within the UK and Ireland and the transmitters are located in Cumbria (UK).
For the rest of Europe, the DCF-77 is used where the transmitters are located about 25km south-east of Frankfurt (Germany).
The MSF radio signal is a dedicated standard-frequency and time broadcast that provides an accurate and reliable source of UK civil time.
The Youshiko Wireless Weather Station works on the UK Version MSF and ensures automatic time change for spring and autumn along with automatic time checks.
The display time can be in 12h or 24h format along with calendar and backlight.

Large display shows all the info you need and remote sendor works from over 30 feet away by the shed so i lnow its getting real external readings without any house effect. All in all, very happy wiith this one, now i just need to see how long it lasts
Not sure these should be called a true weather station, because it does not include rain gauge, wind speed and wind direction of course. But this is all that I wanted and generally very pleased with it - looks good and well made. Simply insert the batteries and it works - so yes, recommended. My only criticism would be that the highly reflective clear front makes it hard to read in low-light conditions - but the backlight is easy to use and fine. It is important to keep the outside unit in the dry of course.
Bought as replacement for an old oregon scientific that stopped working after three decades, this seems similarly accurate. Got two extra wireless sensors and they all matched the main station when left close to that enough long, with acceptable marginal fluctuations. Setting of station and pairing the sensors was easy (just the third one required a few tries before it paired to the station). An old Oregon sensor with display shows slightly different values than them and it actually seems to be the one on the wrong side.
The sensor has VERY misleading instructions. What it DOESN’T say is that if the sensor is exposed to ANY rain, not just the stated ‘HEAVY RAIN’, it stops working and when queried, all the company tells you is that the warranty is void!! So much for customer service.
I bought this to replace a failed Oregon Scientific station that had lasted me for over 2 decades. This new Youshiko station has much to commend it: a good, clear display, excellent backlighting, all the functions I want (or need), and touch sensitive alarm / snooze on the top edge. It's a good station, and I do like what it does. However.... The person that designed it had a monumental brain-fart when they decided to put all the control buttons on the BACK of the device! This means that in order to change time, switch alarms on /off, or interact with the device in any way, you need to be continually flipping it over to look at the display, and then flip it back to see which button you need to press. It's a bit of a pain, if I'm honest. If only they had sited the buttons on the bottom bezel, it would have been so much easier to use. One other slight niggle .... the external sensor consistently reads 1 degC lower than the main device, even when both are placed side-by-side in the same room. Calibration issues like this are not ideal .... which is correct?
Our 'old' weather station stopped working, I ordered a new one from ÍøÆغÚÁÏ and it arrived in 2 days, well packed and a very pleasant young man delivered it. It's now fixed up and working fine.
