Slide the transmitter to 'OFF' to prevent the headphones from connecting to the transmitter. In this case, the transmitter dock will function solely as a charging station.

I purchased this item in Sept 2021. We were very pleased to find a good quality product that had all the various wires to connect to several different options. I'm not very savvy in new tec but I was able to set it up easily. I was impressed with the fact there were contact details for assistance if I had needed it as well as printed info. Sound quality can't be faulted and they are really comfortable to wear.
The reason for writing this review after more than 18months later is that we encountered a problem with the headset. I contacted the customer services and had contact with Rie. She was so helpful and supportive. She advised me that the purchase was still under warranty. She kept intouch daily and advised me how to order a new set without any cost to ourselves. She was delightful and considerate. She gave me advice on pairing the new headset and she asked me to let her know when it was all up and running. At every stage she said for me to contact her with and question's or problems. We received the new earphones within a few days and I was happy to say they were paired easily and are now working perfectly. I cannot say that I've ever had better customer service anywhere,I felt so well supported. Well done Avantree I would certainly recommend you!

Bought these for my hard of hearing Mother and she absolutely loves them. I was really worried about setting them up but it was quick and easy.
She was finding it really difficult to hear her TV even with her hearing aids so relied on the subtitles a lot. With these headphones she can hear everything very clearly, no need to have the subtitles on the TV anymore and doesn't wear her hearing aids while she has the headphones on.
Would definitely recommend.

My wife has good hearing but mine is poor, so we ended up watching TV too loud for her or too quiet for me, or constantly adjusting the volume. With the headphones connected to the TV via bluetooth I can control my own volume and I can use the EQ to enhance voices over the background noise. The headphones are comfortable and, once set up, the system is easy to use. When there was an issue, customer support were very helpful - responding quickly and resolving the issue very easily.

Super comfortable to wear and great for use with a Virgin Media or Sky Box (although the Sky Stream puck has no audio output so an HDMI Audio Extractor was bought for that). Long battery life so no worries about it going flat part way through what you're watching - just hang it back on the rack to charge at night. I bought this to minimise noise disturbance to neighbours.

I should add that I did need to ensure the optical output of my Virgin Media box was set to PCM (rather than Dolby) - I found a note covering this. Given ts only got two speakers (one for each ear), the best you can hope for is stereo audio quality anyway so trying to put in an input for more than 5 speakers eg 5.1 surround sound, is a no go. They have excellent technical support and when I needed to contact them about another Avantree product that had physically broken/cracked, this was swiftly replaced. I particularly appreciated the fact that they didn't make me wait until the defective one was received by their UK depot before sending the replacement.

The headphones seem to be of good quality and the quality of sound is great when you are in the same room as the transmitter.
I live in a small house and the sound quality starts to break up if you move to another room.
Avantree website says "Need to start making dinner or grab a drink from the fridge? No problem, move around the house and do what you need to do without worrying about the audio cutting out."
Not true.
The instruction leaflet included is not very good, making the set up a bit of a mystery.
The downloaded support manual is not any better.
Overall the headphones are good when you get them working, but not as good as the website suggests.

As I’ve a slight hearing impairment I’ve tried a number of wireless/bluetooth headphones with television so that my wife doesn’t have to tolerate the set volume at high level. These have certainly been the best. Absolutely no evidence of delay with sync and the top quality sound that I used to experience from my exceptional old hi fi system. A year after buying them I spotted a break in a join to one of the earpieces. I contacted Avantree and they immediately arranged for a no questions asked replacement the whole item butt including a more robust headset better suited to my self confessed clumsiness! Full marks!

Honestly, I love my new upgraded Avantree Plus headphones. There are so many good things to say about them, the list goes on and on. However, here are a few highlights to give you some idea of how sensational these headphones are... For someone who is somewhat technically challenged, set-up was a breeze because of the new no fuss auto-pairing capability between the headphones and transmitter - very cool and very convenient. Another new, exciting and appealing feature is the excellent quality of sound provided by the headphone's three sound modes. Since I watch a variety of movies, documentaries and videos, this feature is very desirable and useful. Additionally, the headphones substantial but light-weight construction and its luxuriously-cushioned earcups make for a very pleasant experience when I watch videos or listen to my favorite music for as long as I want without any discomfort at all. I highly recommend these headphones! As for customer service, I had a problem with one of my previous Opera headphones that was damaged by a very unusual accident. Since it was covered by a 2-year warranty I contacted Avantree and explained what had happened. I have to say everything went exceedingly well. The representative was professional, considerate and a real pleasure to deal with. Subsequently, after Avantree reviewed the issue, it was quickly resolved to my complete satisfaction. Habe die Kopfhörer jetzt knapp zwei Jahre aufgrund meiner beginnenden Schwerhörigkeit und habe keinerlei Probleme damit.

Der Ton ist mit den Texten im Fernseher synchron. Es gibt keine Zeitverzögerung und sie haben Dolby-Surround. Zumindest glaube ich es, da der Klang bei Filmen mal nur von rechts oder links kommt und dann wieder aus beiden gleichzeitig.

Die Handhabung ist mega einfach. Und auch für Leute mit starker Arthrose in den Händen zu händeln. Ich selber habe leicht deformierte Hände und oft starke schmerzen in den Händen wodurch mir oft die Kraft und die Feinmotorig fehlt. Ich nehme sie einfach von der Ladestation und anschalte sie am rechten Kopfhörer an.

Die Lautstärke kann ich ebenfalls individuell am rechten Kopfhörer einstellen, ohne das es die Lautstärke vom Fernseher beeinflusst. Ich könnte sogar den Ton vom Fernseher auf 0 stellen und die Kopfhörer auf volle Lautstärke stellen.

Die Geräuschabschirmung ist super.
Ich trage sie auch gerne beim kochen. So kann ich Fernsehsendungen trotz lauter Anzugshaube weiter verfolgen, ohne den Fernsehen unnötig laut zustellen.

Ich habe sie den ganzen Abend auf und das Akku hat nie geschwächelt. Ob sie wirklich 35 Stunden halten weiß ich nicht. Aber 5-8 Stunden schaffen sie locker.
Sobald man sie absetzt sollte man sie ausschalten und wieder auf die Ladestation hängen. Das rote Licht beginnt zu leuchten, wenn sie richtig aufliegen und der Ladevorgang beginnt.
Die Ladestation nimmt nicht viel Platz weg und sieht auch noch gut aus. Ich kann sie wirklich nur empfehlen.

Die Reichweite hängt von der dicke der Wände ab und wo die Ladestation steht. Man kann problemlos in den Nebemraum gehen. Alles weitere sollte man selber zu Hause testen.

Die Telefonfunktion habe ich nie genutzt. Dazu kann ich also nichts sagen.

Negativ ist allerdings das man die Kennzeichnungen an den Kopfhörer, bei schlechten Sichtverhältnissen am Abend, sehr schlecht sehen kann. Bei direktem Licht geht es ganz gut. Trotzdem habe ich mir die wichtigsten Kennzeichen farblich hervorgehoben. On/Off und +/-. Mittlerweile weiß ich es auswendig, aber für Leute mit beginnenden Demenz oder durch andere gesundheitliche Einschränkungen die das Erinnerungsvermögen einschränken wäre eine bessere Kennzeichnung wichtig.
