Update. After less than 4 months use, the flavorizer bars have started to rust, despite never being left outside after use. Weber website says this is normal, but I am not impressed. Time will tell.

I have owned several gas BBQs in the past, and after much research (including Which? magazine) decided to purchase this as my current BBQ was starting to rust and fall to bits. What can I say? After spending about an hour and a half assembling this BBQ I was very impressed with the quality and sturdiness of it. I was slightly concerned that the grill plates were pressed steel (albeit enamel coated) rather than something sturdier, but my fears were proven unfounded on using it. I was literally amazed with how even the heat distribution across the plates was, food cooked the same on any part of the grill. Everything I cooked was evenly browned, succulent and tasty. Gas consumption seems very low even on max heat, although after preheating max heat was rarely required for cooking. It has been an absolute pleasure to use this BBQ and I would thoroughly recommend it.

My husband is very good at DIY and managed to set up in 2 hours but said it was certainly very challenging, as multiple parts to assemble. That said, the quality is excellent, retains much more heat than previous cheaper BBQ’s we have had in the past. We have only used it twice since having it delivered last Friday but absolutely love it.
