We bought this Samsung dishwasher because we absolutely love their washing machines (we've had two in the past - both very reliable) and TVs ( we have 3 and oldest one is 10 years old) because they are so well manufactured and represent good value for money. BUT sadly the Samsung dishwasher is nothing close to their other products. It appears very light weight, cheaply constructed, the plastic drawer runners look cheap, there is no design feature to accommodate wine glasses and the cutlery basket seems to be a design throwback back to the days when dishwashers first became popular 25 years ago. And the pump is really very noisy. I will be surprised if it lasts more than 3 years. But here's hoping that it will.

THis dishwasher is awful . When amazon sent out people to install it - they said they couldn't. So I had to pay for a plumber to do it - and never got a refund for the lack of installation that I had to pay for.

The top racks don't fit glasses on properly. Everything is balanced awkwardly.

I've had it for for five months. The top spray arm is so hard and awful to remove it broke my nail.

Had to call out repair TWICE - which has meant that I've had weeks without the dishwasher waiting repair.

Wish we'd never bought it. Didn't realise that after 4 months we've have to call repair twice.

It's now beyond the refund date, and we can't get a refund. Highly annoying and frustrating to have to keep a dishwasher that is awful.

I regret buying it.

Great When It Worked

I purchased this very dishwasher a year ago in preparation for a new kitchen (which was delayed until this year due to unforeseen circumstances and I also didn't purchase it from ��غ��).
I often go for Bosch, Siemens or Beko for things like dishwashers and other household appliances buy chose this due to the spec fitting our requirements and all of the handful of reviews for it being positive. I wish I hadnt!
When I installed it, I noticed how lightweight it's general construction felt, but for £350 I thought that if we got 3 years from it, it would be pretty acceptable value for money.
Setting it up was easy, all I needed to do was set the water hardness, alter the rinse aid dosage and fill the rinse aid dispenser up before running an empty test cycle. Once it had finished I began loading in our various dishes, glassware and cutlery.

The first thing that struck me when I was loading it was the space inside; despite being quoted as a 13 place setting dishwasher, I felt like it couldn't hold much more than our previous (ancient) slimline dishwasher in our old house which was 10 place settings, also, the cutlery basket is designed in quite a peculiar way, meaning that, spoons in particular, nested together and didn't wash well as a result and if I used the blue separater grate cover, I couldn't get all my cutlery in and the basket as a whole is difficult to fit into the dishwasher as well. The top rack is height adjustable which is useful as it means in theory I can wash taller items without the spray arm catching them, but because of how tight the spaces are inside the bottom basket for holding plates, tall objects like oven trays often needed to be done by hand regardless. The top basket however does hold a fair few mugs, glasses, cooking utensils and bowls, but its as if it struggles with the weight resulting in it needing to be pushed in until it "clicks" resulting in some very unnerving flexing in the dishwashers metal tub.

Performance, niggles aside, in fairness was always very good, with dishes coming out spotless, glasses shiny and dishes being quite dry afterwards, it seemed that I had struck gold and I was singing it's praises to friends because despite its snags and samsung not being a brand you'd associate with dishwashers, it was genuinely quite good.
Until 2 months later when it flooded my kitchen, was out of warranty and the inner part of the door appearing to have warped.

I now have one year later, a useless white box sat in my kitchen which an engineer said was not worth fixing. I'm now awaiting a replacement Siemens dishwasher to be delivered.
I'm genuinely shocked as I've had a Samsung fridge with no ounce of bother, this dishwasher is certainly not up to the same standard that other Samsung products are.
I gave it two stars based on the fact that while it worked, it worked very well but, if you're still reading this long winded review, stick to dishwashers from brands that are known for making dishwashers, if it seems too good to be true it probably is, and if you do buy one, keep a pack of marigolds by your sink with a bottle of fairy because believe me, you'll need them.

Looks fine. Is quiet. Is a bit of a pain to load and feels cramped. But the worst thing is that it doesn't clean the dishes -- we've had it for two days and it's leaving baked on junk all over the glasses. I assume there's something wrong with this one, but we still have to pay to return it to ��غ��, so I'm really disappointed.
