The cranking amps were more than my current battery so that was a good start, the Ah rating was the only thing that worried me but this thing sat in my garage for 2 months in sub zero temps before I hooked it up... It cranked my car over better than the old battery, it works flawlessly.
So for anyone wondering if you could put one of these in a car? Absolutely! Make sure the cranking amps are enough to turn over your engine, install a battery cut off switch (or just disconnect the battery) and you will have zero issues.

After about 1 year 10 months I was returning from a camping trip in north Wales when I noticed my neutral and dash lights flickering at idle. After getting home I determined the entire electrical system voltage was fluctuating at idle. Put the battery on charge and it would not go past 12.7v so I thought I would discharge it a bit and try again. So I took it down to 11.8v and put it back on charge and again it would not go over 11.8v at this point. Stuck a cheap lead acid battery back in the bike and the problem was gone. Getting a warranty replacement was a nightmare. Numerous ping pong messages to Noco customer support getting sent from one department to another. Then had to take photos of the item and send it to them and grind off the serial number etc. Bear in mind at the time I purchased this battery the purchase price was £175. You get the point though. Just a general negative and expensive experience. It doesn't surprise me the price is now down to £125. They must be struggling to sell them. I will be selling my warranty replacement unit on ebay to try and recover at least some of my money.
- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 11 October 2021Lithium batteries are amongst some of the best types out there at the moment and these Powersport ones from NOCO are fantastic and seriously overengineered, I know its just a battery but it performs great and looks amazing, it’s a shame it will be most likely hidden from view.
The NLP20 battery was delivered safely, and it comes well packaged inside a very premium looking retail box. As well as the battery you get a decent assortment of accessories including 1x 12mm spacer, 3x 15mm spacers, 4x 7.5mm spacers, 2x 3-way terminals, and an allen key.
The NLP20 is a 7Ah lithium-Ion battery (equivalent to 18.9Ah lead acid battery) with a starting current of 600A, a continuous current of 70A and a charging current of 21A max. I was surprised by how lightweight this battery is, coming in at just 1.7kg which is ideal for people who like to keep the weight down on their vehicles.
The quality of the battery is fantastic, everything looks super well-made using quality components and plastics. Its even IP66 waterproof rated so its perfect for use in off road vehicles or wet environments. As lithium batteries are smaller than lead batteries you will probably need to make use of the included spacers to get a nice tight fit, these are also very well made and fit together nicely.
If you know how to replace a battery, then the installation should be a piece of cake and the battery comes fully pre-charged. The 3-way terminals give you multiple installation points depending on where your battery leads come out from. You can use the spacers to pad it out and even remove the mounting plate on top if you need to.
The built-in advanced battery management system ensures the battery operates correctly and efficiently. Its packed full of safety features and requires no maintenance over its long lifetime.
The battery should be compatible with most vehicles of any age, just make sure your alternator and wiring are in good working order and you should be good to go. If you wish to charge it then make sure the charger is capable of charging lithium-based batteries like the NOCO GENIUS5.
The battery might not be at 100% performance in cold weather so you might need to turn a few auxiliary systems on like your lights to warm the battery first before starting your vehicle, a slight drawback compared to a lead acid battery, but it probably doesn’t get cold enough in the UK to make much of a difference anyway.
Overall, I have so many good things to say about this battery, its packed full of technology and the quality couldn’t really be any higher. Yes, it’s quite expensive compared with other batteries but this is definitely a case of you get what you pay for. It’s certainly a product I’m very happy to recommend and I feel it’s worth the full five stars, if you want the best then buy this battery!

- Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 November 2021I think the spacer system this li-ion battery comes with is really clever, making the battery much more versatile than traditional models. Instead of each battery being a different size, here a single battery can replace several different sizes/models because a fairly compact battery core comes with a series of optional bolt-on plastic frames that build up its size. Frames and fixings to attach them are included.
We installed this to replace a dead lead acid battery in my Dad’s lawn tractor. Although this isn’t one of the suggested uses it’s in the same wheelhouse and this battery (with lll of the included optional plastic spacers attached) proved to be the best fit from the series for the aperture in Dad’s Efco Zephyr.
In terms of power, this should be overkill – the lawn tractor doesn’t need a battery as powerful as this. However, Dad’s lawn tractor has gone through two lead acid batteries in three years, receiving one as a warranty replacement. This battery should be more durable.
I’m impressed that I can top this up comparatively quickly with my basic Genius 1 trickle charger (I bought this in a failed attempt to resurrect a battery that turned out to have been knackered due to general disuse over the last couple of years), and potentially even heal deep discharge.

I already own NOCO smart battery chargers that I’ve tested for years, so why not try the NOCO lithium ion with 600 cranking power.
Well starting it in any weather has not been an issue. First touch of the starter button and it’s got my neighbours all exited.
The battery is very light compared to an agm and standard batteries. 5lbs or less with custom battery support compared to the 30+lb batteries.
My only issue with this battery is that it’s slightly wider than the 2003 road king battery box I installed this one on.
I bought battery vibration insulation and made it a lot more secure and insulated from vibration.

I have a 1993 Harley Davidson FLHTC. I've replaced the motor with a 113cu high compression engine. I added electric compression releases, but the motor still turns really slow with the AGM battery. The problem is that the battery compartment only allows 3.5" for battery depth. That max's the CCAs to 350. I bought an EarthX battery, and it was amazing. It was also 800$. It quit after a year. EarthX honored the warranty and sent me a new one. That one lasted about 8 months, but I found that a mouse had chewed my ignition wires and it send a dead short to the battery. That certainly is not covered under a warranty. Not having 800$ to shell out again, I bought a Wicked Start AGM. It's supposed to be 500CCA. It certainly didn't spin the motor like 500cca, but it started the bike. Just went to ride this weekend, and it was cold. Battery was fully charged, but it cranked very slow, then died. I jumped it with a jump pack and it worked all day. Tried to start it that night, after the temp dropped, and it died again. Battery tests good, it just can't crank my motor when the oil and the air is cold.
Back to lithium. Did a lot of shopping and found this Noco. I like their chargers, so with the reviews, specs and price, I ordered the NLP20. Installed with no problem. It has really nice cable mounting options! It's light and has everything you need to make it taller of shorter with the accessories they give you.
Anyway...the motor spins just as amazingly as it did with the EarthX. Starts in cold (it was 48 when I started it again this morning) just as vigorously as when it's warm (it was 80 in Daytona for Biketoberfest last week).
I can't speak for longevity, but I'm hopeful. There are good and bad reviews for almost everything. For the price difference between EarthX (or even Anti_Grav) and this NoCo, it seems well worth it for me.
Update 2-19-2024:
Went out to the garage yesterday and started the bike for the first time since early November. It was 40 degrees, and the bike cranked super-fast, with no issues.

Mi serviva una batteria con un ottimo spunto per muovere i due vecchi pistoni del mio "Califfo" e questa Noco è perfetta allo scopo. E quando non uso il "Califfo" la trasferisco sulla NTX e anche lì consente avviamenti perfetti e si ricarica correttamente con il sistema originale. Il peso non era importante vista la quantità di ferro con cui sono costruite ma quando la tolgo da una moto e la metto sull'altra non fatico. Ci ho messo anche un connettore bipolare rapido.
