Robins and blue tits loved the feeder straight away, with the sunflower hearts, some smaller birds had no trouble, some needed a bit of tempting to use it, like with a little suet pellets round the edge. Yesterday i put suet pellets in feeder, big mistake, starlings and larger birds came, total madness. Now, back with the sunflower hearts, not enough room for starlings to pick the seeds up, just the small birds again, lovely.

Bird feeders come in all different shapes and sizes. This one is most suitable for smaller birds such as robins and dunnocks and the design of the feeder should deter larger birds.

The build quality is perhaps a little flimsier than I've experienced with other feeders but as those of us who feed birds in industrial quantities will know, there are some very fancy, easy cleaning feeders around with metal parts and so on which can be rather expensive.

In our garden, we have several of this type of feeder out the back. The only feeder we've had in the front is a small plastic one fairly similar in design to this one - and that's because we get hedge sparrows in the hawthorn hedge and a robin or two. We have a mock orange shrub that's grown tall by the hedge inside the garden and this is where we place this particular type of feeder. Acrylic feeders can become a bit ravaged over time so it was good to be able to try out a replacement.

In that this Zeqeey bird feeder is fairly lightweight, try not to put it in an exposed position but go for somewhere more sheltered. And of course hang it at a reasonable height in a position where cats can't easily reach it. If you have a cat incidentally, why not think about a collar with a bell?

The colour shown on line is true to life - more aqua/turquoise than blue. Easy to fill, this is essentially a 'hopper' style feeder with a 16cm pleated roof over the feed which lets the rain run off. The 10.5cm diameter opening is wide enough to allow for relatively easy re-filling. In ours at the moment we have sunflower hearts - it will take 800g - but we use mealworms too which the robins seem to enjoy.

This is a well thought out feeder suitable for small birds. The drainage holes in the base mean that water-logged food won't end up contaminating the feeder and making it harder to clean. The design is clever meaning that, for us, starlings and collared doves won't be able to access it. It looks good too. The design's good and the price - though not a bargain - is reasonable in my view.

It's great easy to fill but my garden birds aren't keen on it. There's not much space for them to perch and the holes where the food comes out aren't very big so the concept is good of the food constantly flowing out once the food level goes down but yeah I certainly won't be buying another one

Lovely looking bird feeder. Feels strong and sturdy with a metal loop for hanging and a bonus optional metal clip with a hook.
To fill just unclip the lid on one side (the other side is hinged) then click closed again. This can be done while hanging up so there’s no need to take it down when it’s empty.
There are little holes in the feeder base for rain to go through so the seed sides not get soggy.
As it’s sturdy it will be easy to wash & clean when required.
Packaging was just a box and easily recycled. You also hey a mini guide to bird feeding.
It’s a good design with small holes in the seed area base which fill slowly so nothing is wasted. The hanging wire goes completely through the feeder to the base - so the lid will not just fall off if knocked.
Great colour, hopefully attractive to the birds. It’s mainly Magpies & Robins around here, it would be good to see some different breeds so feathers crossed this will attract more birds. With the different hanging hooks provided I was able to find a place where any birds could feed and remain safe from my cats.
I think this is great value.
All animals are sacred to me, this product will help feed local birds when food is scarce, bird food is not expensive for a 2 or 5 KG bag (roughly £3- £5.99 depending on where you go). Where little food is exposed at a time this feeder should be safe from ravenous squirrels just emptying the lot at once. Can’t wait to see what has a nibble first!
