after extensive quality testing and durability tests I can confirm that this selfie stick which I have used with my gopro hero 12 is very good quality for the price as well as being very functional for the price. Have used it underwater (salt water and river) and it has almost no issues with the main mechanism. the only issue which is quite annoying is that the screw and nut used to secure the camera is prone to rusting and the nut can fall out easily. also it does not float but as long as you use the strap there should be no issues if you are careful. the selfie stick is also very secure and durable.

This is a very good product. I have used it with both a GoPro and a smartphone. All the listed items were present in the box and also, not mentioned in the description, two lanyards. It mentions a wrist strap, which is presumably what they mean, but there are two. One is black and larger, for use with the actual stick - the connecting hole is at the end of the stick, to the right in my photo - the other, a red one, for the 'thumbscrew'. The 'thumbscrew' mentioned is, in fact, a small plastic spanner as seen in my other photo (lanyard connector at the top). The stick itself extends easily and locks into place with a turn. It feels firm and not loose in any way. It is possible to only extend and lock each section individually, although obviously the main stick is always of the original length as seen in the photo. The handle is soft and easy to grip even, as I had to, with a thumb and two fingers at the tip in order to hold it as high as possible in order to look up, and over, a shed roof. Without hesitation, I thoroughly recommend this product.
