This is a really big chopping board. I really hadn't appreciated the size when ordering. If I remove everything on my worktop, it'll just about fit on. Due to the sturdiness of it, however, it also fits well hanging over the edge and will also be perfect to put our turkey on to carve on the table on Christmas day. In fact, we can get all meats on it at the same time due to the size.
This should fit in well in most kitchens. I prefer wood over plastics due to the durability, appearance and more natural look of it. I've ran the knife over it a few times and it doesn't easily mark. With prolonged use, it will get some scratches, however that's expected due to the nature of a chopping board.
In addition to the main handle, there's also a cut out on the bottom for lifting on the other side too, which helps you ensure you're holding it central.
Overall, this is an impressive bit of kitchenware that no kitchen should be without.
