There were two boxes of bits. Instructions (once found! ) were clear but there were a LOT of bits! My husband is a seasoned DIYer but he did puzzle a bit over some of the instructions and said some of the steps were not in the best order. That said, although it took both of us several hours to assemble, once it was done we were really pleased with it. It's sturdy and looks great. The wood on the top and counter top is beautiful. The four doors hang evenly, the black handles are also an unusual feature and add to the overall look. The drawers have metal runners and slide in and out with ease. We were surprised at the excellent quality for the price. I would say, however, that if you are not used to assembling flat pack furniture, you are probably going to need some help with this!
