Important Notes

For dedicated graphics, an Nvidia RTX 2060/3060 or an AMD Radeon RX 6000 Series or newer graphics are required to achieve 8K@60Hz video.
For Intel graphics, both 11th generation Intel Tiger Lake or 12th Intel Ader Lake or a newer CPU and Intel Iris Xe or newer graphics are required to achieve 8K@60Hz video.
All Macbooks, Macbook Pro, and Mac Mini can only support a maximum resolution of 4K@60Hz external display.
4K@120Hz and 8K support may require a firmware update on some 8K TVs.

However, in a nutshell:

Things I liked:

+ Great little design, really compact and portable.
+ Works as tested (1440p, 75Hz).

Things I didn't like:

- Nothing really. Perhaps a little expensive at £20?

Do I recommend it?

Yes. £20 seems like a fairly reasonable price for a good quality USB C to HDMI adapter and it performs fine in my setup, but you might be able to find cheaper if you're willing to forego the high refresh rates this is capable of.

Do be aware that your USB C port must be capable of displaying video before you order this - not all USB C ports are.

This is a very compact adaptor that has enabled me to display my Dell laptop and Samsung tablet via my TV. Connection has been plug-and-play. Picture quality seems very good. Sound quality seems okay - not quite as good as standard TV channels, but this might be down to my connected devices.

The device is very light weight and compact, making it ideal for travel. Build quality seems okay. Having a short cable make attaching it to the device a little restricted in terms of positioning, but that isn't a major problem.

Overall, not cheap, at nearly £30 current price, but the compactness makes it very convenient.

Although most newer smart TVs allow you to cast to it, from a mobile device, not all do. Even when they do, a lot of TVs can still be rather hit and miss and problematic. This is great, and ideal for those not comfortable with the faff of configuring for casting. There’s absolutely no setting up (as noted, with many that are cast ready, you still do). This is simple and straightforward, just plug it in and away you go. No apps etc. required to load.

The device is very small and compact, this is great for if you are away from home – hotel stay etc, where the TV is definitely unlikely to have cast facility! As well as streaming movies etc; there is also internet and general phone stuff, which you may prefer on the larger screen. The real boon is streaming though, (Catch-up, ��غ�� Prime etc; but NOT Sky Go – they don’t allow!), so you aren’t limited to watching on your phone. Streaming will of course depend on your Data plan, unless there is Hotel fast Wi-Fi. My data is unlimited, therefore not a problem for me. Alternatively, you can always download from your home wi-fi to watch a movie etc while you’re away.

As noted, is so simple and easy. Just connect to your phone, and the TV, and that’s it – done! Picture and sound quality are perfect, no degradation at all. This can also be used from a PC (with Thunderbolt port) for an additional Monitor output using a conventional HDMI cable

To summarise, this is a great quality product, very well-made and compact, and a cinch to use. Bit on the pricey side, but works perfectly. Recommended.

Has Innovative folding design: pigtail cable retracts back into the adapter when not in use, very easy and securely store and trnsport.
The video resolution is up to 8K.
Support 7680x4320@60Hz for high end display.
Support 3840x2160@120Hz for ultimate gaming experience.
This pigtail cable is 1.8inch long.

Great value for money little and very useful device, really reasonable price, I can highly recommend this product to anyone.

Smaller than expected. Kinda cute really! Got this thinking I would be able to plug in the USB C to my OnePlus 8T and then play videos off the phone onto my TV via the HDMI port. But I couldn’t get it to work with the phone.  

Then tried the same trick with an M1 16 inch MacBook Pro from 2021. Better. Got the picture to mostly show up. Though the edges were missing (probably due to a difference in resolution between the two devices). Also, the sound was still coming through the MacBook, rather than the TV, which seemed kinda weird.

On the plus side. The device is cute with all the ‘foldable’ thing; and it’s small, so quite pocketable. So both of those are good. Price wise this was £28.99 when I got it; which is pretty expensive anyway. (Especially as it is just the dongle. There is no HDMI cable (even a short one) with it. Plus I’m not very confident about the way it works. Given all that it's a pretty ho-hum 3 stars from me.
