Great for drying my gloves as well as shoes when I get back from rowing.
For energy saving and safety, I have this plugged into a Smart Plug and have a schedule set only for "off" at regular times through the day - every 3-5 hours. So I leave the heater switch on permanently and when I want to dry boots, I switch the Smart Switch on with its manual switch knowing that it will switch off then after a few hours.
