First of all, I ride an adventure motorcycle and frequently go off the beaten path. I fabricate numerous components. This is for attaching my helmet-mounted Insta 360 X2 camera. It appears larger in the seller's picture, which would be a disadvantage. Despite its small size, it is solid. The extensions are constructed and designed well. less than 3/4 of an inch across. The integrated nuts are on thicker tangs so durable. For those who are new to this, there are even arrows to help with assembly. The wrench is included, as are the high-quality metal bolts that are provided. Saves me supplanting as I have had to do with other help hardware that accompanied the modest OEM plastic finger fix trash. If this is your first time using these wrenches to tighten metal-handled bolts, you'll quickly run out of OEM parts to replace. Added high-quality hardware to a high-quality product. Happy as can be!

The are no any tools required to start using, also the extension arms can be attached to helmet mounts, tripods, and handgrips with the standard action camera mount.
Very easy to attach your action camera to the extension arm, and start using.
It is really good quality set I have to admit, for really reasonable price, that's why I can easily recommend it to anyone.

The Neewer Aluminium Alloy Extension Arm are an interesting product. I can’t test it; but for me I am thinking this may make for an interesting alternative for mounting to my dive camera. The design is a lattice framework which should reduce flow; the ability to have a 30cm extension away from my dive case should allow me to articulate a light into frame away from the camera body. I need to test this in the ocean to see if it is rigid enough for the purpose, which is a few months away.

Away from diving, the frame could be useful if you use attachment points that are away from your subject – or aren’t high enough. The 3 sections of lattice allow for about 50cm of extension if you used it straight up: or degrees of articulation.

The rigid design makes it particularly good for mounts on moving vehicles as it won’t transmit as many vibrations. Using the two smaller lengths I found it possible to articulate from my suction cup and get a nice and level field of view: without blocking my vision whilst driving for example. Outside that there are many ways you could use it on one trip; and save weight on what you are carrying. The 50cm length could make for an adhoc selfie stick.

I found the framework easily held my action cameras; if used vertically it didn’t appear in my Insta360 One’s 360 video. It also happily supports a compact camera. Only thing I would ask for in version 2 is something to allow you to rotate along the section; that would make it very useful.Right now it's holding a video light whilst im on a conference call.

It has aluminum body and because of that they where able to make it with very lightweight, without compromising on durability and quality.

This is quite useful and handy for anyone looking to strap a go-pro or similar device to their helmet, bicycle, etc.

Assembly is simple enough, but this is where a downside could come into play.
You assemble and adjust the position of the arms by screwing in a threaded screw. It feels pretty secure, but if you're travelling at speed with all the air resistance, vibrations, etc. the screws will come undone over time. There is no way to fully lock into position, it all relies on how well you tighten the screws. But any vibration and enough time will loosen this.

So although this is marketed for being attached to a moving object, such as your bicycle, I don't feel it's that safe to do so. It does market it as being able to be used as a selfie stick, but it's not that comfortable to hold.

So it has it's uses, but I think a better design choice is required.
