This is the 28cm expert frying pan.

I would normally go for a 24cm pan, but this one is actually 23cm and the base and widens out to 28cm at the rim. Its much deeper than I was expecting at 6cm deep, so it will actually hold a decent amount if you're cooking something more saucy.

The website claims its good to 260c under a grill or conventional oven, although it is a bit contradictory as another part of their website also says its not suitable for ovens!

Suitable for all hob types including induction, it worked fine on my induction hob and was nicely non-stick in use.

The heat distribution could be better though. I cooked an omelette in it using my biggest ring on an induction hob at a medium temperature and when it was done, the centre 15cm was quite brown with a really well defined area, but the outer 8cm still very pale yellow. I don’t have this issue using my normal omelette pan (which to be fair cost twice the price) which cooks it pretty evenly so I’m afraid you do get what you pay for.

I’ve used this pan quite a lot now and generally it’s pretty good for most things where even heat distribution isn’t important. It’s still non sticking and cleans easily with no discolouration.

They do say to avoid the highest temperature settings where possible and not to use any 'boost' functions, but this is pretty common with non-stick pans. The big marketing point is that it is 6x stronger than other non sticks, but only time will tell how well it lasts up to normal use. They still say to avoid metal utensils and stick with wood or silicon so as to not damage the surface.

They claim it is a British design and a British company.

So far, I'm very happy with the pan.

Pan zelf voldoet goed. Maar 2 x is een pan beschadigd bij mij gearriveerd. Nu denk ik dat het meer aan de vervoerder dan aan verkoper licht. Maar heel vervelend is dat de pan terug moet naar Engeland. Je moet hier moeite voor doen, ook douane bewijs invullen. De extra verzendkosten zou ik nog terugkrijgen, daar ga ik vanuit. De 2e pan was ook weer beschadigd: deuk erin en handvat zat bovenop los. We hebben toch besloten deze te houden en mijn man heeft handvat gerepareerd. De pan zelf doet het zover goed.
