Bought this as extra drying as washing seems to build up quick when using washer/dryer as it takes so long. This dried more quicker than the washer/dryer at a fraction of the cost. And so much fresher. It’s compact and space saving and can hold a fair amount. My only gripes is trying to get a tube that will fit the exhaust outlet. It’s not exactly standard size and not supplied and it only rotates one way. But it’s win win in the winter as warms house and drys at same time. I only wish I bought this earlier! Works out 21p an hour to run (I’m still on a standard tariff) and dries in about an hour for tea towels, T-shirts etc. it’s also quite quiet too and looks so much better and modern than other ones. I will place somewhere more permanent when I get an exhaust pipe.

Great Tumble Dryer So Far!

After scouring reviews to help decide on the ideal portable tumble dryer I finally decided on this model.

Thus far, I love the dryer and am overall happy with my purchase.

As with everything there are pros and cons but I think an honest overview is required to help others that are in the position I too was in.

The dryer, measurements listed, is compact but not as small as I was anticipating despite having the measurements. It’s a chunky machine. Very aesthetically pleasing. It fits perfectly under my stairs cupboard but I don’t think it would fit inside even a large kitchen cabinet, think more storage cupboard. It has to slots at the size for handling/carrying which makes it easy to move however although a view comments mentioned it being lightweight, that possibly depends on your size, as a petite woman I do have to use a little strength and manoeuvring to get it from the cupboard into bathroom. Again, nothing too strenuous but a different perspective from other reviews.

The dryer itself has been a god-send for this time of the year but make no mistake - it is not a normal dryer so do not expect the same level of ease. I normally fit half a load of washing inside (large load of washing) depending on the materials, thickness etc you will be able to come up with a system that works best for you. Light items in my case (shirts, t-shirts etc) tend to dry quicker with other little bits and bobs so I load it up generously leaving making sure to leave a little room for the clothes to rotate and air properly, I tend to leave these on for 30mins without issue. For larger items (jeans, towels, jumpers) I normally leave for 45 mins - 1 hour, checking regularly and removing any dry items as I go. I would also try not to overload thicker items, it works out better as overloading dry items will just extend the time they are in there. So far bedding has been a breeze, sheets take no time at all and duvet sets again as long as they are over loaded don’t take much time too. Although tedious, I find that regularly checking the items will help you figure out what works best and will cut down on extra usage as opposed to just leaving them on the max time and wasting energy for items which may already be dry.

I seen reviews regarding the energy usage but I have had a slightly different experience. I do try to do large loads on particular days to avoid constant drying everyday so a typical drying day could see me using the dryer for a few hours sometimes more to get through everything, on a typical day I do see a £1-£2 cost which depending on your circumstances will add up to a lot especially if this is being used on a daily basis, but again that is for constant use for 2-3 hours on an irregular basis. I would assume regular usage for a much shorter time period would be much less but over all would come to roughly the same cost when used for the same amount of time.

There are different settings (both hot and cool) if you are a person like myself that can’t be bothered faffing about with settings then I simply put it on the highest heat setting/time limit and let it work its way down as I do my own thing in terms of loads/timing loads. I have never had an issue and things always come out warm and soft.

Based on my experience and the other similar reviews I would definitely recommend this product and assume that it is one of the better options on the market!
