This is a very handy bit of kit that adds a lot of functionality to the camera without interfering with its operation.
It is particularly good for videography where you may want to add some bulkier lights and a mike setup.
The design is well thought out and it is a perfect fit. Machined and finished to a very high standard from aluminium it adds little weight itself.

I got this cage today and was really looking forward to putting it on my new XH2s - Anyway, SMALLRIG does not provide instructions in this - it looks relatively simple - however you will have difficulty if you don't know about the small peg on the bottom right of it, which needs to be unscrewed - no instructions were in the box to tell me this - I ended up scratching my £2500 FUJIFILM XH2s camea because of that - I am disgusted. Hence the one star review - had it not been for the lack of instructions, this would easily have been a 5 star product, because once it is on the camera, it is a beauty.

One of the standout features of this cage is its anti-deflection design, which helps minimize any unwanted movement or flexing of the camera body. This ensures that my shots remain stable and consistent, even in challenging shooting conditions. Plus, the cage provides added protection for my camera, giving me peace of mind when shooting in busy or crowded environments.

The included hinge arm at the battery door is a game-changer, allowing me to easily access the camera's battery and memory card without having to remove the cage. This saves me time and hassle, especially when I'm shooting on location and need to quickly swap out batteries or cards.

The side lock adapter is another thoughtful addition, providing a secure attachment point for accessories such as monitors, microphones, or external lights. This versatility allows me to customize my setup to suit the specific needs of each shoot, without sacrificing stability or functionality.

While I appreciate the overall quality and performance of this cage, there are a couple of minor drawbacks to note. Firstly, the magnetic flat-head screwdriver included with the cage could be more robust – I've found that it can sometimes slip or lose its grip when tightening screws. Additionally, the cage adds a bit of bulk and weight to my camera setup, which may not be ideal for shooters looking for a more compact or lightweight option.

Overall, I've been extremely satisfied with the camera full cage. Its sturdy construction, thoughtful design features, and compatibility with my camera make it a valuable addition to my photography gear arsenal.

I really like smallrig products, and this cage it's great. It does the job.

But there are two things that I don't like.

First, if you work handheld, the design is not totally comfort, there are edges in the left-down part of the cage that can hurt your hand on a long use.

Second, when I purchased this cage the model have not de hawlock desing, now there is a new version with this design (I see it in amazon, not in the official page). I think that design is really convenient for that system.

Overall it's a great cage.
