I got this as a replacement for a 20 yr old white socket. It took about 5 minutes to swap over and works as expected. Screws are included and were a good length to allow easy locating of the threaded holes in the carrier. I looked at various other black sockets before choosing this one and I'm glad I went with this choice. The finish is good a compliments the other matte black accessories in the bathroom.
