I needed to share an HDMI port between a TV streaming box and a games console. I've used cheaper switches in the past for similar things and found them to be wanting. I've used a few UGREEN products and been satisfied with them, so was happy to spend a little extra on something of quality.
As both the devices are externally powered themselves, they provide power to the switch. My TV produces 4K at 60Hhz, which the switch can handle without additional power. A USB cable is provided to power the switch for higher refresh rates and 8K.
I don't generally have both devices on at the same time, so the switch flips channels to whichever device is powered up. If I am flitting between devices, the simple push button works a treat.

This product, when working is fine. I have it running from my GPU, to switch between a 4K@120HZ HDR OLED TV and a 4K@60HZ LED TV.

It flickers constantly on the OLED, I presume this is due to the higher refresh rate, higher colour depth, and bitrate.

On the regular LED TV it is absolutely fine.

So I suspect the higher fidelity, and therefore higher data requirements for the OLED are too much for this device to handle. It is a shame as it advertised wrong, saying it can at those speeds when it cannot, and UGREEN are a top brand usually.

In conclusion I would avoid if you need it for anything similar.
