Full disclosure, this is my second of these and was ordered because, a: it is that good, and b: I wanted to test the app using a pair of lights together rather than the single one I had which I'd been using in combination with other brands on shoots.
It is even better in pairs!!!

I see no reason not to repeat my original review below, but please take into account this was written when I had a single unit, I eulogised then, I'm ecstatic now 😀

It doesn't matter what creative space you are in, if it involves a camera of any kind be it stills or video, then this is what you have been looking for.
I'd hesitate to say it's pocketable, though it does fit comfortably in the pocket of my Barbour, but it is small enough to be tucked away in most average sized camera bags without issue, something that is helped by the various options you have to power it.
Whilst it can be powered by USB C, you will need a fairly hefty power bank to get it to work and it won't last that long, my personal preference is a V mount battery that allows a decent working time, I can't give you an exact figure but I am yet to need to switch batteries.

You can read the tech specks yourself but this goes bright for a 120w light, this can be softened somewhat with the supplied Fresnel lens.
Unfortunately the mount is proprietary so an adapter is required if you wish to use any Bowens mount modifiers, it would be nice if an adaptor were included.

PROS
-powerful light in a very small package
-I very much like the focussed reflector
-takes power from multiple sources (though my kit does not include a holder for a battery)
-very simple interface: buttons and dials that are well laid out, and obvious (to me) in their functionality
-godox modifier mount useful (for those with godox modifiers, I don’t have any)
-app is simple to use (and it’s a lot easier to set the special effects with the app)
-body is plastic, but it seems robust enough (though I’d not want to drop it on a hard surface
-pretty decent light stand adaptor (though I use the included 1/4”-20 hole for my own lightstand heads)
-a pretty good value (my similar lights from other manufacturers cost more)

CONS
-I can’t get the light to go to 100% with a 100W USB power supply (the screen indicates that it’s connected to a 100W power supply, but the light only goes to 85%, and my power meter indicates the light is drawing only 76W). The manual is no help.
-no light power or colour temperature shortcuts (unless you use the app, and in there there are only temperature shortcuts)
-the app required my phone number to register. Not happy about that, at all, there is no need for personal information like that just for an app that controls a light (I have lights from other brands whose apps do not require personal information).

NOTES
-it would have been simple to add a v-mount clamp to the body of the light, missed opportunity (instead, it requires a separate purchase to get a bulky handle that includes a v-mount clamp).
-I’m going to acquire a godox to bowens mount adaptor, as the bowens mount is the most common budget modifier mount.

Il Godox ML100Bi è una luce video LED estremamente versatile, perfetta per chi cerca un'illuminazione di alta qualità in diverse condizioni. Con un intervallo di temperatura colore che va da 2800K a 6500K, offre una gamma completa per adattarsi a qualsiasi tipo di scena, che si tratti di riprese video o fotografia. Il riflettore dell'obiettivo ML-L15 incluso è un ottimo complemento, permettendo di concentrare la luce in modo preciso e ottenere effetti visivi molto controllati.

Dal punto di vista delle prestazioni, la luce è abbastanza potente da garantire un’illuminazione adeguata anche in ambienti non troppo illuminati, ma rimane allo stesso tempo gestibile grazie alle sue dimensioni compatte e al design portatile. La temperatura del colore è ben regolabile, permettendo di passare facilmente da toni più caldi a quelli più freddi senza compromettere la qualità della luce. La qualità della luce è uniforme e priva di ombre dure, rendendo questo prodotto ideale per riprese professionali.

Un altro punto positivo è la facilità d'uso e la possibilità di regolare l'intensità della luce con estrema precisione. Il controllo remoto è un plus che facilita l’utilizzo a distanza, rendendolo ideale per set fotografici o video. Nonostante la potenza, il dispositivo non si surriscalda rapidamente, il che è sempre un vantaggio durante lunghe sessioni di ripresa.

Starke Lampe mit Einschränkungen bei Batteriebetrieb

Ich habe die Godox ML100Bi Lampe über das Vine-Programm zum Testen erhalten und nutze sie für Videodrehs innen und außen.

Im Lieferumfang ist das grundlegende Zubehör dabei: die LED-Lampe, ein Netzteil mit Kabel, der Fresnel-Aufsatz und ein Mount zum Montieren an Lichtstative und passende Handgriffe. Ein Diffusor oder Adapter z.B. für eine Softbox mit Bowens Mount ist nicht dabei. Der Anschluss der Lampe ist proprietär, ein Adapter ist also unerlässlich, will man schon vorhandene Vorsätze anderer Hersteller verwenden. Zumindest hat die Stativhalterung eine Aufnahme für einen Reflektorschirm.

Es ist schon erstaunlich, was man mittlerweile mit der COB-LED-Technik aus solch kleinen Lichtern rausholen kann. 100 Watt Lichtleistung aus einem so kleinen, handlichen und leichten Gehäuse ist schon erstaunlich. Gerade einmal 487 G wiegt das gute Ding und somit hat man mit einem Mini V-Mount Akku nur ca. 1 kg an Gewicht zu tragen. Super für bewegte Shoots.

Allerdings bekommt man mit einer anderen Stromquelle als dem mitgelieferten Netzteil nicht die ganze Lichtleistung. Ich dachte zunächst, es lege an der Batterie, aber ich habe dann verschiedene Stromquellen getestet und es hat sich herausgestellt, dass es je nach Leistung der Stromquelle auch eine geringere Lichtleistung gibt. Hier meine Ergebnisse, die ich auf dem Display ablesen konnte:

- V-Mount Akku mit 99Wh über USB-C: Lampe zeigt 45 W Eingangsleistung an und gibt 40% der Lichtleistung ab
- 65 Watt-Ladegerät über USB-C: Eingangsleistung: 65W, Lichtausgabe: 50%
- 96 Watt-Ladegerät über USB-C: Angezeigte Eingangsleistung: 90W, Lichtausgabe: 80%

Wie sich hier zeigt, drosselt die Elektronik der Lampe die Lichtleistung je nach zugeführter Stromstärke. Ich weiß nicht, ob das andere Lampen auch machen, aber hier ist es mir zum ersten Mal aufgefallen. Mit dem mitgelieferten Netzteil gab es dann die 100 W Maximalleistung.

Damit ist man unterwegs etwas eingeschränkt, wenn man keine Steckdose oder Generator in der Nähe hat. Mit den Batterieoptionen hat man aber immer noch eine helle Lampe für viele Einsatzszenarien. Selbst die 45W/40% des V-Mount Akkus reichen für viele Einstellungen und Lichtsituationen. Gegen die Sonne kommt auch die max. Leistung nicht an.

Ansonsten ist die Lampe gut verarbeitet, macht einen stabilen Eindruck und bietet eine hohe Farbtreue von über CRI98+. Die Farbtemperatur lässt sich zwischen 2800 und 6500 Kelvin in 100 K - Schritten einstellen. 11 Effekte sind auch mit dabei.

Die Bedienung ist intuitiv und man weiß sofort, was zu tun ist. Das Display zeigt auch alle wichtigen Werte und Einstellungen an, so dass man immer weiß, wie die Lampe eingestellt ist. Die App habe ich nicht getestet, weil ich nur eine Lampe von Godox habe und für eine einzelne Lampe keine App brauche.

Fazit: Ich finde, Godox hat mit der ML100Bi Lampe ein sehr gutes und ausgereiftes LED-Licht herausgebracht, die mit kompakten Maßen und einem geringen Gewicht punkten kann und dabei eine starke Lichtleistjng bietet. Leider ist die Leistung unterwegs mit Akkus, Powerbanks und kleinen Netzteilen gedrosselt. Ich nehme an, das wurde gemacht, um die Laufzeit nicht allzu stark zu verkürzen.
Der fehlende Adapter für den weit verbreiteten Bowens Mount hätte bei einem Straßenpreis von 220 € ruhig dabei sein können. Deswegen von mir nur 4 Sterne für dieses kleine Kraftpaket.

Godox è Godox, parliamo di una azienda che negli anni ha proposto prodotti più o meno economici ma con una certa qualità costruttiva da porli come prima scelta per chi si voglia dedicare alla fotografia senza svenarsi.
Con questo ML100Bi, Godox ci propone un faretto luce a LED per video e foto con una escursione di temperatura da 2800K a 6500K dimmerabili e con una serie di effetti di illuminazione.
Qui parliamo di un faretto che per quanto piccolo riesce a generare al consumo di 100W ben 34300 LM, una infinità di luce più che sufficiente per la stragrande maggioranza degli utilizzi comuni.
Inoltre, la praticità d'uso e le ridotte dimensioni permettono di poterlo impiegare senza problemi sia in studio che in esterni.
Ha un ottimo sistema di raffreddamento e se usato in combo con un potente powerbank vi consente un'inesauribile fonte di luce per giornate intere.
Assolutamente consigliato.
