I'm fast becoming a fan of Ohuhu. Thus far I've used markers, pens, sketchpads and papers for mixed media and wet. I would suggest the cost of these materials allow you to make a quality of work that is most satisfactory. If you need to find a well presented, strongly bound sketchbook with good quality paper just look for Ohuhu. Good quality markers needed? search out the Ohuhu first and foremost for a good look. My only grudge against them is the name - I can never remember how to say the name and have to write it down for all my friends.

Why oh why
I have several sets of ohuhu markers already so was really pleased to get these. Only to be rapidly disappointed.

These would be stunning markers with a little more attention to detail.
The colours are ok, nothing specular but a nice range and they do come in a nice case although it would be nice if they stopped covering the cases in the brand name, marker name and all the safety warnings and suppliers involved in bright white bold print.
The nibs are a hard ridig plastic type material with very little give. More like an old fashioned felt tip from the 1970's than a brush. This means it's very awkward to move around shapes and into smaller areas. Blending was, well a challenge, one which ended in dismal failure. However the fineliner tips worked well, apart from the dry pen. Yes one of them was dried up. Found them clunky and stiff. They didn't sit well in my hands and were just uncomfortable to use.

While they don't damage the paper (neither do several other sets they do by the way, and neither do any of the 4 other brands I have) they do bleed through badly unless it's watercolour paper. They are nice enough but I personally thought that they are a total waste of time and money if like me you have the maui or any other waterbased set as they are no better, and in some cases worse than any other watèrbased marker. So these will be going back and I will p to my 160 maui set (basically the same markers, just these are the newer versions in a smaller set, costing more). I had hoped these would be an updated similar type, which they were, but they dont work as well. Brought them for a specific project on thin paper, hence the don't damage paper thing was the main factor.

Not really sure what I was expecting but whatever it was, that expectation was not reached. Whilst they didn't damage the paper, the red that I needed was dried up, which was not a good start.

Results wise these were about equal to the set of 120 I brought from temu for £24.99 so Ohuhu please do better. maybe next time try a refillable one that is ACTUALLY a brush nib. Definitely will not purchase these again.

Ich kenne keine wasserbasierte Filzstifte, die nicht das Papier in kleine Papierkrümel abrubbeln. Selbst auf billigen Karoblöcken kann man diese Filzstifte 10-fach nass in nass überlagern ohne das Papier aufzurauhen oder farbige Papierkrümel zuproduzieren. Die Filzstifte drücken durch nach dem dritten oder vierten Schicht je nach Qualität des Papiers und bei billigem Papier auch der erste Strich hinterlässt einen sichtbaren Schatten.

FaberCastell Albrecht Dürer pillen auf billigem Papier bereits nach der vierten Lage. Und sind damit so gut oder so schlecht wie mein SMC Billig-Set doppelseitigen Filzstifte für Journaling.

Im Aquarellsketchbook mit 35% Baumwollfasern Faber-Castell hält 7 Lagen, SMC 5 Lagen und Ohuhu zeigte selbst nach der 12ten Lage kein Pilling.

Wasserlöslichkeit: Ohuhu papierfreundlich war nur minimal wasserlöslich nach dem Auftrag Aquarellsketchbook, während Faber-Castell verhält sich wie Aquarellfarben und bleibt wasserlöslich, währen SMC wasserlösöich war aber eine klare Kante zum Erstauftrag mit dem Stift und dem Pinselauftrag mit klarem Wasser hinterlies, Faber-Castell glänzt hier mit einem weichen Verlauf. Der Grad des Staining hängt von der verwendeten Farbe ab.

Ohuhu und SMC machen keine Angaben zur Lichtfestigkeit. Faber-Castell Aquarell-Marker sind bis auf drei Aisnahmen sehr lichtbeständigt, die drei Ausnahmen sind gut lichtbeständig.

Ohuhu und SMC haben dieselbe Farbe an der feinen und der dicken Spitze. Faber-Castell ist seltsamer Weise was das anbelangt nicht identisch.

Ohuhu kann sanfte Farbverläufe von hell nach dunkel bei mehrfachen Lagen. Ich kenne keinen anderen wasserbasierten Filzstift, der das kann.

Das Ohuhu Filzstift-Set ist eine echte Bereicherung in meiner Filzstift Kollektion.

Mit diesem Set erhält man eine Auswahl von sage und schreibe 60 Fasermalern mit jeweils 2 Spitzen. Auf der einen Seite erwartet eine eine Fineliner-Spitze, die sich hervorragend zum Schreiben oder auch sehr feinen Ausmalen eignet, auf der anderen Seite befindet sich eine breite, spitz zulaufende Spitze, welche mit unterschiedlichem Druck unterschiedlich dicke Linien ermöglicht.
Die Stifte sind in einer sehr schönen und praktischen, klappbaren Mappe verstaut, was mir besonders gut gefällt. So kann man Ordnung in den Stiften behalten und hat auf einen Blick eine Übersicht über alle Farben.
Die Farben sind allesamt sehr kräftig und satt, der Farbfluss ist schön gleichmäßig und die Linien somit eben. Auch wenn man mehrfach über eine bereits gemalte Stelle fährt, wird diese nicht übermäßig nass.

Ich nutze die Stifte einerseits für Notizen und Einträge in meinen Kalender sowie gemeinsam mit meiner Tochter zum Ausmalen von detailreichen Mandalas. Sie hat dabei ebenfalls viel Freude an den Stiften und kann sie mit ihren 5 Jahren sehr gut benutzen.
Ich würde dieses Set jederzeit wieder bestellen.

I love these markers, they are so smooth on paper, no pilling on coloring book paper, they do bleed thru like alcohol markers but that is ok, no alcohol smell. They also worked well on my art journal watercolor paper. Such a great value, vivid colors and comes in a great case. After using them I immediately ordered myself a second set because I enjoyed using them so much!
