Took several hours to assemble prolonged by the fact there were several pieces spare (see photo - situated in front of the product). The design shown in the instruction booklet does not incorporate these pieces nor is it evident how they could be used to fashion the end product in a different layout.
The plastic hemisphere sockets require significant force to shunt the metal panels into the locking position which can cause the welds to give (see photo - red circle) fairly easily. The two fragile plastic globe sockets both fractured (see photos - red circles) during assembly, the width of the plastic divider (see photo - green circle) in inadequate and breaks far too easily when metal panels are inserted (subsequently glued successfully).
Somewhat bizarre design as the cat hammock hangs so low (even after fully tightening the adjustable straps) as to block the staircase to the second floor should you have more than one cat. The cats were a little reluctant to use the metal stairs, flat wooden panels would have been a far better structure for advancing to the next floor. A compartment (shielded from three sides) gives the cats somewhere to hide above which is a platform (see photo - contains bed) for supplies storage.
Four door clasps are enclosed which resemble keyrings but they suffice for fully securing the pen doors. Two scratching posts, a litter box and soft bed are included.
Woefully lacking from a quality perspective considering the product is listed at £129.99 (at time of review). Unable to recommend this product.
