I have been using this XPPen drawing tablet with my Dell XPS 15 laptop using just the USB-C lead as it takes its power from the laptop and also with my Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra phone using both the USB-C cable as well as the included power adaptor. Also included was a HDMI cable with various USB plugs but I have not needed to use this. The display is a generous size and feels good to work on, the included stand could however be better but does do the job, just make sure it clicks into place when opening it out.
I have mostly been testing it for editing photos as I am a keen amateur motorsport photographer. I have found it to work really well in both Affinity Photo 2 and GIMP which has made photo editing much quicker and easier than using a mouse or trying to make edits on a small phone screen using my fingers. Initially I found that the zoom wheel and pen pressure functionality wasn't working, this was because I had neglected to install the drivers on my laptop, so make sure you do that! once the drivers were installed I was able to map the buttons on the tablet and the zoom wheel/pen pressure worked as expected. Colour accuracy seems spot on, with the picture being bright and clear.
While I'm not the most artistic when it comes to freehand drawing with my primary interest being photo editing, I did download a free programme called Krita that came highly recommended and had a play around (I have installed it on my Windows laptop as well as my Android phone). I found the drawing experience to be very good, the pen feels natural in my hand (and I am left handed) and the tablet is responsive to my strokes. I'm sure that those of you with natural talent could make some very impressive drawings using this tablet! for me though, more practice is needed.
The instructions that came included in the box are not the most detailed and are just a quick guide, more detailed instructions can be found online. The stylus does not need batteries so that's one less device to have to buy new batteries for, it also comes with spare nibs.
Overall, a great tablet for creatives and photo editors alike.
