Ignoring the hoards of “positive” reviews, this doorbell:
- doesn’t come with an indoor chime, you need to buy one or be permanently attached to your phone. Fine when not at home of course. Pointless when at home.
- works on setup then immediately goes into P2P connection error (search eufy camera P2P before you buy!)
- only goes into fault after you have drilled the holes into your front wall. Which is marvellous.
- won’t add other users (e.g. householders) due to a P2P error.

So all in, you need your phone attached to you 24/7 if you ever want to hear your door again. But it doesn’t work anyway so back to the door knocker and two drill holes in pristine white render.

There is a fundamental fault here, as found on the eufy community forum. I also find the amusing 5* reviews that have poured in after people post fault this quite handy timing wise.

So picture quality good
Field of view good
Battery life not bad
Installation took a long time connecting to WiFi
When raining lens gets rain spots as its fish eye so cannot see image
So main issue is with motion detection which works well but
I had another eufy solar camera great bit of kit worked very well great image very pleased
but as soon as I installed the door bell camera looking at the same area my drive
motion sensor on the wall camera stoped working
I believe the door camera and wall camera were on conflict with motion detection on the same area as both use PIR which send infa red beam out to detect heat
So the door bell camera was stoping the wall camera motion detection
So deleted the door bell camera from app and immediately the wall camera motion started working
Again
So 2 camera looking at the same area conflict on motion detection
Not sure if it’s a eufy thing as on my other house I have 2 camera not eufy and this does not happen
Customer support was patchy
Unit is going back for refund
