  This lamp is far better than I had thought it would be. The base is great, with a good weight. The electric lead is a goldy/bronze colour- which is so much nicer than white (for where we wanted it)
  We bought it for our dining room, and I was concerned that the shade would be tweed-y. It's not - and it's so much lovelier once the plastic packaging is removed. It has a good hue - shimmer.
  All in all, I'm delighted with it
