They are a bit shiny, as if the wood has been varnished. They are quite small though, 20mm, and thin, but will be perfect for children’s clothes. My wife does a lot of knitting for our grandchildren:- jumpers, cardigans, and hoodies, and these will be great as fasteners. They can also be used for all sorts of things, replacing old buttons, fastenings for cushion covers, decorations for curtains or replacing poppers on duvet covers, lots of crafts – the list is endless. These toggles feel like they are good quality.
