  We chose this bell as it was stated to be of a loud volume. However, the relative we purchased it for could not hear the bell at all, if the lounge door was closed. He is only mildly hard of hearing. The front door is only a short distance from the lounge.
  I have given a higher rating, as the supplier was easy to deal with, the bell arrived in good time & well packaged. A refund was given swiftly.
  We have since purchased another doorbell, which meets expectations.
