  My Samsung smart TV has built-in access to streaming services, but unfortunately Samsung has not kept the apps up-to-date so over the years the TV has become dumber and dumber, as the apps ceased to work.
  The TV itself was still really good - good picture, perfect size for its shelf location, good sound through a sound bar, etc - so I didn't want to change it.
  The Roku has given it a whole new life. It means (yet another) remote control in the living room, but that's OK and the option to use the Roku app to turn a phone or tablet into a remote helps to minimise that anyway.
